As an Imperial officer I would answer the question "Would you sacrifice 200,000 soldiers to take one objective" my answer would be "Yes Sir, and Ill sacrifice another 200,000 in the name of the Emperor to fullfill his dreams".

Make me a Twi'lek too, while you are at it. Always wanted one of those.

Ghtroc 720 - slighty modified (current)

 Baudo Star Yacht- stock (current)

Empress- heavily modified ( coming soon, maybe, time is the issue)

I also had the chance to steal an Imperial Lamda class shuttle.

We utilize quite a bit of the YT line in our games. Mainly because there weren't a lot of ships to choose from that were 'Stock'

But I have had a variety of ships that I have used:

YT-1300 (Heavily Modified as a gunship)
Skipray Blastboat
Headhunters (gotta love them)
Y-Wings
Hyrotil Crescent
Baudo Star Yacht
Action IV
and a few others...

I tend to steal ships as needed. I tend to be a shipjacker, due to the fact I am always running away. Besides if you get caught using a certain ship, they then start looking for that ship

Our group tends to use the YT series ships a lot. Our main ship is a YT-2400 that has been wrecked and rebuilt more times than I care to count, but our pilot has a sentimental attachment to it. The character I took my screen name from had a YT-2000 that was slightly modded with a tractor beam and a couple ion cannons that he swiped from an Imperial impound yard. After he died the group kept the ship until it was stolen by an undercover ISB agent. For a mission or two there was a beat up old YT-1210, followed by a hot-rodded YT-1300 called the Pie Wagon. The latest addition is a YT-1760 that was stolen from some rich kid.

Other ships have been commandeered/stolen as needed, and often wrecked, abandoned, given to the alliance or sold off to shady types afterwards. The players in my group seem to really like the YT's, but maybe something new will catch their fancy...

Uhm... well, to be honest, the game folded before I was able to finish statting out the ship. However, I was going by a combination of Rifts/Manhunter/Mutants in Orbit rules to cannibalize stats together into something workable.

Since then they've come out with Aliens Unlimited Galaxy Guide and a set of tables for building your own spaceship. I would suggest taking a look at those and see if you can build a ship to match the deckplan.

You're welcome. emoticon

However I should warn you that in AUGG the sizes of ships are generally visualized as being much larger than in the Star Wars universe. Drumming up stats to fit a Star Wars deckplan may not be easy to do.

Indeed, the freighters in AUGG are quite large. A 'light transport' is 305 meters long while a heavy transport is ten times that size.

On the topic of the thread, the first ship I ever served aboard was a YT-1300. It was also the last YT-1300 I ever served aboard. Since then it's been Ghtrocs for the most part, though my last game used a Sorosuub Luxury 5000 star yacht and my current one uses a Nova Drive 3-Z as the main ship. In this game I fully intend to steal me a ship of my own as soon as I learn to fly one. emoticon

I genuinely believe Uwe Boll could've done a better job with the prequels.

Actually, it is not so different in Star Wars. Not in the movies, at least. Most secondary sources messed up classifications.

The Falcon is a courier ship, the Gallofrees are light freighters and when we talk about heavy freighters we are actually talking about ships like the Lucrehulk class of the Trade Federation. Those are larger than a Star Destroyer and are mentioned to be NOT the largest ships the Federation employed. Medium would be somewhere in between. That means YTs, Barloz, Actions... they are all light freighters. None of them really heavy.
