19 hours to get from the surface of Endor to the orbit of Endor? I think not...how did you arrive at that conclusion? Vader did not bring Luke from Sullust to Endor.

I do not like the idea of Warp Drive much at all...I like the violent tearing into hyperspace of Star Wars. Space Fold is interesting, but would that not be more of an instantaneous 'pop' to another location...not a wormhole for example?

simple the rebel fleet massed near sullest did they not..
when did the fleet leave?

then the fleet arrived just after Luke arrived at the Emporer.
but it doesn't matter anymore does it.

The flip side of that trip from sullest thing is that if i were in command I'd move the fleet from sullest to just outside endore's system and re-group. Then i'd do a much smaller jump to the battle. Makes it easier to get all the ships there together (not all of them would have the same hyperdriver multiplier) and also means your fighters only have to make a small jump before going into battle. Would you want to sit in an x-wing for 19 hrs and then fight an imperial fleet?

Well, that indicates that 'distance' in hyperspace is measured differently than in real space, and so perhaps they have to measure performance by 'reducing' realspace distance when plotting navigation points through hyperspace...perhaps it is done in a series of microjumps. Especially as when a ship is entering hyperspace, they accellerate at incredible speed, so perhaps the Millenium Falcon can sustain short duration 'event horizon' jumps to give the illusion of better accelleration...and might be a clue as to it's innumerable technical problems due to the strain that this would most likely put on the engines and hyperdrive.

regards,
Lucas

Darth Maul left Coruscant and arrived at Tattooine in what looked like the same afternoon. His ship has an almost embarrassingly slow Class 3 Hyperdrive...

Also, it should be pointed out (I know this is off-topic, but dammit, I can't help myself!) that Warp Drive was once much, much faster than it is now. In TOS, the Enterprise visited the edge of the galaxy and in Star Trek V the Enterprise went to the center of the galaxy. That's a trip that would take the Voyager from the TNG era roughly 70 years.

I genuinely believe Uwe Boll could've done a better job with the prequels.

According to the Gazetteer, Sullest to Endor is 19 hours by x1 hyperdrive.
your telling me it took Vader over 19 hours to take Luke from Endor to the Emperor on the DS2?
Not likely.

Remember the rebel fleet could not even make x1. They had Gallofrees in the mix. emoticon
