US, you need to read the line just above the Falcon line, where it said that the info came from thefocre.net while searching hyperdrive.

Distance is realtive in any journey that you take, but there are obstacles that slow things down which will have to be included in the time estimates.

I did a search for astrogation maps and found this:
http://www.swcombine.com/navcomp/

it has a travel time guide based on pilot skill and hyperdrive number.
double click on a dot(planetery system)as your staring point, and double click your end point and ask it to calculate the time it takes to get there.
From Tatooine to Alderaan takes 15 days 15 hours 12 min. at pilot skill 6 and hyperdrive 1.

Liked the site, i do have a question for you, or anyone else who has looked at it. Are the hyberdrive calculations in reverse? Because using a X1 hyberdrive gave me a longer estimate for travel then a x15.

So by using the site a X1 drive ship flying from Tat, to Naboo would take 12 hours, while a X15 drive would take about 1 or 2 hours.

Now using my limited knowledge X1 is supposed to be traveling at the speed of light, while a X15 is 15 times slower then the speed of light, shouldnt that trip take longer?

I can always use the chart in reverse, where 15 is the equivalent to a .5 hyperdrive 14 is a .75 and so on and so forth.

Re: Galactic map

Ships in hyperspace travel thousands of times the speed of light, and the accepted convention is that the smaller the hyperdrive rating number the faster the hyperdrive (i.e. a 0.5 is faster than a 1) though the scaling may not be linear.

Re: Galactic map

A hyperspace rating of 1 can't be the speed of light because its too slow. It would take you a hundred thousand years to go across the galaxy at that speed.

didn't Han Solo say that the millenium Falcon can go 0.5 past light speed? I wonder if he was referring to the conventional drive of the falcon...that really would make it the fastest ship in the galaxy.

Re: Galactic map

The hyperdrive modifer is x1.

In game trems the time it takes to go from one planet to another is 5 hours.

Now if you multiply your drive number to that ,you get 5 hours.

If your drive number is x2.
Then you multiply 2x5= 10 hours

If you have the Millenium Falcon with x.5,
you multiply .5 x5 hours = 2.5 hours

Most rpg maps have some time duration on them between points, thats what you multiply to your drive rating.

Re: Galactic map

Im just trying to get people from Tat to Naboo. I trip that the Naccom site says takes one day with a 1 HD unit. So i changed the number to 2, and it said it would take 12 hours.

My complaint was it seems that the site has its equation in reverse because the bigger the drive number the slower its supposed to be. I am fine with just taking the numbers given in by the times 1 HD and just multiplying that result by what the players ships has.

Krag123,

Well i dont know about that site,
travel times do seem to be reversed there.

x1 should be faster than x15, but the person who put it togther might have made a boo boo
and reversed the numbers.

The Jedi Forums has a thread on astrogation:
http://boards.theforce.net/Message.aspx?topic=18056649

I think its from d20 rpg core rulebook,
but, d6 rulebook might have a table in it as well.

To answer your question /Tatooine to Naboo
would be 12 hours at x1.

In the thread it states times from region to region.

Travel times as always are at GM's discrestion.
If you say 5 mins. or 5 days.
