Re: Thinking of Buying Star wars Galaxies

personaly i would not recommend it. I played for one and a half year. During that time it went from a few Jedi to Jedi as starter template, resulting in just too many of them. The socalled New Game Experience is just egoshooter style. This game lost a lot since it was launched. Did try the free trial some weeks ago just to see what changed since i canceled because of the NGE. It was just terrible. Even the tutorial had bugs, like NPC names are not visible or state: NPC34R3L/ . so after all this time SOE is not capable to solve the simpliest bugs. I just deleted the game again after 1 hour of play. But try the free trial and make out your own opinion. For me, just to see han und Chewie in the tutorial does not make a good SW game. I rather stick with good old PnP D6. If you want a space MMORPG try Eve-online. they also have a free trial, a very good tutorial and a mature player base.

I downloaded the demo a while back and was highly disappointed by it. It reminds me of a game Iplayed on the 486 that was my first PC. Only the graphics were better, the controls still sucked goat ars.
