KSE Hellstar

Yesterday I saw a leaf on the parking lot that looked like a scorpion ready to pounce. I thought the shape had merit as a starfighter, but looked too Cylon Raider, or Stargate Death-glider.

Yet there it was crouching, and I thought of the Slave I.

The Slave I is to me a big gunship, so could there be a simular starfighter from the same manufacturer?

Image

Why not?
The two engines are gimballed, so it can fly like the Slave I, and horizontally. I don't know what to do about the ****pit--make it rotate, or have it fixed at an angle. The vertical flight position is nose down.
This is a one man fighter probably about half the scale of the Slave I.

...odd...it's quite similar to some doodles I did a few years ago...for a personal ship design...the MandalMotors Wraithwing fighter...but I admit...yours is much prettier...

Honestly, I didn't plan on modeling this. It just happened.

On second thought, it's gonna fly horizontal.

Missiles. . .I thought about it, but I didn't like my arrangement. Maybe a pop-out panel.
And one huge gear foot.

All that's left is some greebles and ****pit stuff.

that looks awesome Paul. I like the way the wing tips fold.

I'm wondering about the engines though...they seem a bit short....unless they are ducted from the main engine in the hull?

They are short engines. I was going to have a fuel line running into them. But I would have had to make a seperate hose for every rotation of the engines I wanted to show. So I buit that conical housing.
so the hypothetical hose is covered.

Really nice idea PS...
