I am currently tinkering with the missile silos and the launch sequence. Not textured, yet.

Like what I have seen. Keep the silos (last picture). However, try to keep the markings small.

the torpedoes use buck shot to launch them emoticon emoticon
in all honesty it looks great
and if you need help with 3d modeling check out the forums at www.scifi-meshes.com there is alot of help there

All particle effects suffer visually, when set to minimum rendering effort and the whole assembly is very low poly.
