How 'bout the fact that the windows are too small to crawl through. There isn't exactly empty space under the front one either.

The prices for transparasteel are outrageous so we are going with cheaper silicon based substitute instead.

On the other hand, one could go with a solid metal hull with NO windows and holo-screens providing visual information... but that might be a bit inconvenient in the event of power loss. emoticon

I'm glad to see you've revived the core idea here Paul... there was some nifty stuff going on here.

If you lose power you've got bigger problems than not being able to see outside.

first time i saw that and read the things about swing wings i was curious to what you were smoking..

but other than pylons, they are perfect for maneuvering thrusters, you would get great manuevering from her with thrusters mounted there.

I love the battering ram..
they don't have time to done suits and burn through your ****pit if they are loosing air themselves..
they lost the initiative, they are now worried about their own survival not about some cargo ship..
unless the boarding vessel has a airlock further in than the ram..
the portcullis just delays the inevitable..
but that delay may still mean life and death.
(and that design from somebody who ISN'T a gamer)

The first ship reminds me of what a smuggler would buy going through a mid-life crisis and the later reminds me of a station wagon. Not sure why but it looks like a YT that the crew areas are at the front which gives more rear cargo space.

Unless they're supposed to be from the same manufacturer I think some revisions are in order...

and just WHY do they have to be the same manufacturer?
just how many things in existance now look the same but belong to different manufacturers?

starwars is no different.
just because they may look similar doesn't mean they HAVE be from the same manufacturer.

There's a thing called corporate identity. Its not just the logo but the whole look of a family of product that shows without looking at the logo who makes it (Apple being a prime example). Star Wars ships carrying this idea fairly consistently (the YT series for example). My point is that it looked so similar to to Mauls ship that it looks like it should be part of the same line (somthing I'm fine with as its a great looking ship...duck to avoid Frank). If its from a different line it really shouldnt be that similar.
