Re: Submitted for your approval
I really like the fighter and the TIE Escort ship...very interesting design concepts.
The only thing though is that these do not appear to be deckplan wips, but model wips.
Kysmic, do you intend to make deckplans from these, or are you intending to make them only 3d?
If yes to deckplans, great, if not, then this thread should be in General SW art.

Lucas

Re: Submitted for your approval
Silly me...you are likely correct Lucas...If any of them becomes deckplans it would be the first ship. If you could do me a favor and move the thread to General SW art i'd appreciate it. If the Rand Eclptic (or the same ship re-named) ever gets done as a deck plan i'll start a new thread then.
Sorry for the inconvience.

No problem Kysmic. The thread has been moved.
I wouldn't mind seeing one or more of these ships being deckplanned (especially the Rand Ecliptic -- although it could benefit from some 'Star Warsing' of the design -- and the fighter). Since you've got these as 3d models, Kysmic, I'd suggest you develop some orthos from them and start the ball rolling.

Well, truth be told, at the moment i don't really have that much interest in bringing these to fully rendered deckplans. That eing said if anyone else is interested in doing so they are welcome to it.

Re: Submitted for your approval
Well I was looking at Paul's work on the TIE, and it inspired me to take a look at one of my ships again. I've re-visited the TIE Escort...rebuilt the exterior from scratch, and am currently in the process of doing an interior layout.
That said...on to the Pix

Now we move inside Looking over the Pilot's shoulder

Next is the Computer station in the secondary pod
Pic 5
Finally we have the bunk & couch in the secondary pod
Pic 6
I still need to figure out the layout in the ball at the back end...mainly if the turret chair is set up similar to the Falcon's or if i can keep the gravity all in one direction.
anyway...more pix when i have them...enjoy

Re: Submitted for your approval
Ok...so i may have a solution to the "how to get a gunner up to the turret" problem. It involves a rather large swing arm that brings his chair into place. It looks like it'd work, but i have some reservations about it, so i was wondering what the folks around her thought of it.
The pic below is a rough mock up showing the chair in both the raised and lowered positions. As you can see with the chair up another person can easily walk under it.
The kindly gentlemen inside the ship are on loan from Paul.

Re: Submitted for your approval
I'm not sure... It might (in which case it will need a more extensive mechanism than what is shown).
Also i'm still trying to determine what else is in this chamber. Likely a bit of storeage, and an engineering work station of some sort. Depending on the layout of the work station the chair might also serve that when it it's down position...
