Re: Sienna Miller booted from "Robin Hood" movie - for looking too good...
A bit off topic, but just out of curiosity, if Brutus was 'the Noblest of all Romans', how do you explain 'Et tu, Brute?'

Sic semper tyrannus. Or he thought Caesar could become tyrannical - and therefore a savior of Rome, perhaps. Perhaps not.

Re: Sienna Miller booted from "Robin Hood" movie - for looking too good...
Dear Collegue: You are correct, a bit off topic; so i'll be brief. Intially, my point was to correct Foster3D's incorrect attribution of Ceasar's remark as describing Brutus, when Ceasar's remark was in fact describing Cassius. As to the Nobility of Brutus and the ' Et Tu ' remark, Caesar was a tyrant and dictator, and Brutus acted out of selfless motives and for the preservation of the Republic. The Ancient's placed a high value on Tyrranicide. At the very end of the play,Ceasar's great friend, M.Antony, when viewing the body of Brutus, whose army he had just chased down and vanquished, made the quote that Brutus, ' was the noblest of all Romans. ' And I should add though, a sentiment not shared by all, as Dante, in his The Divine Comedy, The Inferno Chapter, placed Brutus and Cassius, along with Judas, in the deepest circle of hell, in the jaws of Satan for eternity, for the unpardonable crime of Treachery to One's Master. Enough Said for Off Topic.

Re: Sienna Miller booted from "Robin Hood" movie - for looking too good...
It has been suggested that Julius had an incurable disease and knew it so he arranged his assassination himself to go down memorably rather than as a sick wasting old man past his glory. so, Et Tu brutus was a command not an accusation as he was in on the plan and was supposed to also stab his old friend.
Just one more theory.
of course there are his last words...
Infamy! Infamy! they've all got in it for me!

Is it true that a combat sword should weigh no more 2.5 lbs? Thank you in advance.

In the AD@D game, a Longsword was given the encumbrance value of 3 lbs. This incorporated awkwardness of storing it. This would leave th actual weight at about 2.5 lbs.
That's from an rpg though so please do double check
