New "Robin Hood" Heroine - First Publicity Photo
BBC has released a new publicity still (only low-res for the moment, expect a better quality version on the official website soon) of Joanne Froggatt alongside Jonas Armstrong to tie in with the upcoming third season of "Robin Hood".
Taking over for the departed Lucy Griffiths, but playing a brand new character, Froggatt is Kate, a girl from Robin's home village of Loxley, who first appears in the second episode of the new season, and promptly gets on the wrong side of the Sherriff of Nottingham. She's forced to flee Loxley, but finds friends among Robin's formerly Merry Men.
An airdate has yet to be confirmed, but the new series could debut as early as the latter half of next month.
