Fun
After viewing an excellent video find by Leyton, I browsed Youtube's suggestions. One thing led to another and I came on two Czech(?) videos by Arcigulkano
(see Video Contribution section).
As best I can make out, a group of young adults in 16th Century costumes are running around castle ruins fighting over a small treasure. At least two of the sword swingers are females. Many run-throughs (barely convincing) and lots of "body count." The players suffer and win time and time again, but why keeps score?
The castle is sited on a hill with a fair amount of slope with lots of trees in the background. The site reminds me of the hill where I grew up (southern New York), and us skulking around outcrops of granite to shoot the "bad guys" with cap pistols. The cast in these videos exhibit the same joy, and sullen behavior when ordered to march, as did we as adolescents.
Except we didn't have girls adventuring with us, alas.
Fun stuff.
