I've been dismissed.....

after 24 years and 34 donations to the National Blood Service.
I received a letter yesterday telling me they've taken my name off the donor panel because after my donation last Friday anti-Kell antibodies were found emoticon

Anti-kell are antibodies that could possibly react against the red cells of the patient who receives my blood.
They're not harmful to me but should I need a transfusion I would have to have blood that wouldn't react with the antibodies.

Then it seems that they would still need donors like you but keep the blood seperate from the normal blood. What would happen if you needed blood and they didn't have any on hand.

Well, at least she has done it. She can say she has done it, and feel proud of what she has done. I know I am proud of her, but then im proud of everything my Chicky Dee does, cos me loves her.
