 CHiPs on the BIG Screen
Its Warner Bros. Pictures that is remaking "CHiPs" for the big screen, The are hiring Wilmer Valderrama to reprise the role of "Ponch,"
That ‘70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama Has now signed up to play Ponch.  Wilmer Valderrama, is the ex-boyfriend of Lindsay Lohan and Mandy Moore, he will play the role of France Llewellyn Poncherello. The role of Ponch's partner Jon Baker, has yet to be cast.
So who do you think should play him then?

I just heard this morning on the local news that our beloved "CHiPs" is coming to the big screen.
I don't no if that is a good thing or not; since Hollywood seems to trash our 70's shows. We'll just have to wait and see.
They did say the role of Ponch had been cast. I don't no the actor; but some of you might. He's that dark headed guy that is on "That 70's Show."
I don't no his name, because I don't watch that show.
Just thought I give everyone a heads-up!

Okay, first of all, don't jump all over me for what I'm about to say. I don't think it is possible to reprise or remake CHiPS. It was the wonderful, original cast that made the show what it was. I will never be able to look at Wilmer Valderama and see Ponch. Erik was Ponch and he always will be. And the same goes for the rest of the cast.
It was the same with the Dukes of Hazard -- no one was better than the originals.
I guess I'm just old and stuck in my ways but there is no CHiPS without Erik Estrada, Larry Wilcox, Robert Pine and all the rest.
I will get down off my soapbox now.

CC I totally Agree with you.
The only thought that I have on it is.
If and when the movie does go ahead, it will/should/hope/wish/pray/ give Erik and Larry more publicity, I know Larry wouldn't like that much, but Erik sure will.
It will/should/hope/wish/pray/ get CHiPs out on dvd, and also mebbi some new fresh CHiPs memorabilia. The best wish is that mebbi Larry (well mebbi not) But Erik or some of the other original cast may pop in to say Hi.
No one will ever be another  and  No one would come closer.
But I say :thum: to the movie. Lets hope that it is better than some of the others we have seen recreated.

I really wish they would get CHiPS out on DVD. I would even settle right now for seeing it in syndication on TV but no channels over here have it. I am so CHiPS deprived.

I have to agree there is only one cast for chips but who knows you guys might enjoy the film and like Erika says the publicity will be good for the old actors as there will only ever be one
