This is the second play he's done at Geffen. Two years ago he did "Fat Pig."

Re: Farragut North
Actually Faragut North sounds a bit intriguing. Here's a synopsis of the play.
Farragut North
West Coast Premiere
Written by Beau Willimon
Directed by Doug Hughes
Featuring Mia Barron, Dan Bittner, Justin Huen, Chris Noth, Chris Pine, Olivia Thirlby & Isiah Whitlock Jr.
June 16 to July 26
"Juicy entertainment." - Variety
"Full of electric energy." - New York Magazine
"Engrossing." - New York Post
Set against the backdrop of a close presidential race, Stephen (Chris Pine) is a young press secretary working for a fast-rising candidate. With confidence and power beyond his years, Stephen is convinced he and seasoned campaign manager, Paul (Chris Noth), can steer his team into the west wing without breaking a sweat. But before the polls close at the primaries, Stephen's perceived invincibility is shattered as he falls prey to backroom politics and the manipulations of veteran operatives. With quick-witted banter and an inside look into the world of politics, Farragut North is a timely tale of hubris, loyalty and the lust for power.
Farragut North, which is a 2007 recipient for an Edgerton Foundation grant for New American Plays, originally opened at New York's Atlantic Theater Company in the fall of 2008.
Fat Pig, that he was in two years ago was also an interesting play. Here's a synopsis.
Directed by Jo Bonney, the play stars Scott Wolf (Tom) and Kirsten Vangsness (Helen) who take the lead on debating morality as Chris Pine (Carter) and Andrea Anders (Jeannie) agitate conscience. LaBute’s cynical play explores a larger-than-life dilemma when love and affection go against the grain of conventional society.
Looking for Ms. Right, Tom meets Helen and is bowled over by her wit, her intellect and her interests, with one problem: Helen is fat. Overcoming his own bias for her love, Tom doesn’t account for the reaction of friends and co-workers, forcing a man to choose between the woman he loves and how others perceive her.

He does do a variety of different parts. He is a very versitile actor. Are you saving your pennies for a trip to the West Coast in June or July, CC?

Chris has actually done a lot of theatre. His theatre work has been quite diverse including the following plays, The Athiest, Fat Pig, A Month in the Country, Our Town, Once in a Lifetime, the King Stag,Orestes, The Burden of Flowers, etc. He's performed in numerous theatres -- Geffen Playhouse, Center State (New York City), The Antaeus Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Pacific Stages, and the University of California at Berkeley as well as others.
I think an actor may find live theatre a bit more rewarding as you get instant feedback from the audience and don't have to wait for the box office results as you do for movies.
I will get a review up of Farragut North as soon as one becomes available.
