question about the car Jon Baker drove in first few episodes
At the time, I did not pay attention to the off duty vehicles for the Chips officers. Now that I am watching the series courtesy of Netflix, I notice that Jon Baker was driving a different off duty vehicle in the first few episodes than he drove in later episodes. Now I think it resembles a Mini Cooper but I think I had not even seen a Mini Cooper when that season originally aired. It was a yellow car with 2 black stripes along the hood, top and hatchback area. Am I right about what type of car that was and, if I am not, what type of car was it?
Off topic from that question, I just rewatched the scene in Moving Violation where Roosevelt "Rosey" Greer tore up that tiny car he was in after it broke down. I still get a big chuckle when Jon states "What I really want to know is how he got in that car".

You are right about Jon's car in Season One. It was a Mini Cooper but it was an English or European version. Steering wheel was on the wrong side of the car for an American car.
I agree with Jon. I'm not sure how Rosey got in that car but as far as that goes, Jon's car was a bit small for him too. I was glad when he got the pick-up for Season Two.
