The History of Fea Wilwarin
It all begins with her parents, Nénu Aduiel, an Elf living in Rivendell, and a British wizard named Laurence Ashford.
Back History of Nénu Aduiel
A young woman, with rather pointed ears hidden under masses of wavy, honey-brown hair, sat twisting flowers into a wreath on the edge of her favorite tree-shadowed riverbank. A book lay forgotten at her feet, as she delicately put together the wreath that would crown her most gentle and beautiful face. If the pointed ears were not enough of a clue, the silver necklace that fell upon her dress gave evidence of a rich ancestry from Rivendell, the House of Elrond the Half-elven. As she wove the flowers, she thought back to her earliest memories of her mother, and how she came by her name.
It was said that her mother lay dying of a deep sorrow in Rivendell when she was just a young child. Naïve at such an age, the girl felt her mother needed flowers to cheer her, as they had done on so many occasions before. She tripped off lightly into the woods around Rivendell, and spent hours carefully choosing the right flowers to please her mother. She came back, arms loaded to the brim with lilies, at dusk. Her father, eyeing her from aside, noticed how the flowers and dusky lighting lit up her young features and gave her the effect of beauty that none but Luthien Tinuviel could ever achieve. Bending low to the girl’s mother, he said he had now realized it was time that little baby was named. The next morning, he christened her Nénu Aduiel, meaning the Lily of the Dusk.
She smiled gently as a sun-dappled breeze brushed hair into her eyes. The soft spot in her heart was usually filled with tender memories of her mother, who died at such a young age, for an Elf. Nénu then finished her wreath of flowers, placed it delicately on her head, and with a sigh, picked her book back up and resumed reading. It was a romance, full of adventure, heroics and wizardry. These books she liked to read, sometimes imagining herself in a land far away, fighting the good fight for a better world.
Nénu was relaxing on her side reading, twiddling her finger around her necklace, as she heard the tell-tale crunch of leaves behind her. Imagining it to be nothing more than a quiet animal, she didn’t look around until a very human gasp reached her ears. Arching her eyebrows, she glanced over her shoulder, where her eyes met those of a young boy, around fifteen years old. Noticing that she seemed to stupefy him from her sudden appearance in the middle of the woods, she smiled kindly and said, “Hello, traveler! Are you new to these parts?”
“Rather,” the boy said bashfully, with a strangely foreign accent. “I’m heading north to stay with some family of mine. I made camp last night with my elder brothers, and it seems they’ve decided to play a trick on me, which isn‘t unusual. They left me behind with just my br-…” His eyes widened, as though he’d nearly slipped out a bit of information he preferred to keep close, then added lamely, “just the clothes I’m wearing.”
“I might be able to point you in the right direction. Do you know where you need to go, exactly?”
“Just that it’s north of my school,” shrugged the boy. “My brothers were the ones that knew the direction, and I was following them.”
“Aha,” muttered Nénu to herself. “Would you like some bread while we think about this?” She offered some Lembas bread to the boy, who at first declined, but then gratefully accepted as she wouldn’t relent. They sat on the grass and talked while he ate; he expected his brothers would tire of the joke soon and come back for him. He seemed most anxious about the weather, for though only a few clouds skittered across, he kept a steady watch on the skies. At one point, as he squinted upwards, Nénu laughed and asked what he searched for.
“Um, there are interesting birds in this region..” he muttered, turning slightly pink. A moment later, his eyes widened dramatically in his search of the sky, he jumped to his feet, and said hurriedly, “Thank you for your kindness, but I just realized that my brothers are more likely to meet me back at our camp site! I better go back at once!”
Without another word, he ran off. Nénu, thoroughly bewildered, didn’t know what to make of the boy with his queer habits and accent. She gathered her things and slowly walked homewards to the twinkling lights of her quiet Elven home. Her story of her afternoon’s occurrence sparked much laughter at the dinner table. Humans like that boy were quite funny...

--- Aunt: A hidden kiss....
Wendy: But, what is it for?
Aunt: It is for the greatest adventure of all. They that find it have slipped in and out of Heaven.
Wendy: Find what?
Aunt: The one the kiss belongs to.
