“Howard Shore is a fantastic man and incredibly intelligent to write such a compelling score. It was a daunting task, but he accomplished it magnificiently,” said Luthien. “There were also the songs composed specifically for each film. The nominees for Best Film Song are,” she announced as clips of the music videos ran across the screen, “’May It Be’ performed by Enya, ‘Gollum’s Song’ performed by Emiliana Torrini, and ‘Into the West’ performed by Annie Lennox.” Luthien slowly opened the envelope to build suspense,”And the winner is ‘May It Be’ performed by Enya!”
Enya rose from her seat in the audience to cheers and clapping and carefully made her way to the stage, where she was presented with the Frodo and hugged by a smiling Luthien.

“Oh, wow! This is amazing! I don’t know what to say, except thank you! Thank you so much to the Company, and Howard Shore, and Peter Jackson, and the orchestra that I sang with, and my family and their support and Nicky and Roma Ryan and my recording label. It was such a privilege to sing for the Lord of the Rings. It is one of my favorite stories and so it was such an honor to be asked to sing for it!” Enya said into the microphone as tears glistened in her eyes. “This is so amazing so I want to give a gift to everyone here tonight especially the Company. I would like to sing “May It Be” for you.” As she said this, the curtain behind her rose to reveal a microphone, ready for her. Luthien glided off the stage as Enya moved to stand behind the mike. The stagelights dimmed with only a spotlight on Enya.

May It Be

May it be an evening star
Shines down upon you
May it be when darkness falls
Your heart will be true
You walk a lonely road
Oh! How far you are from home

Mornie utúlie (darknesss has come)
Believe and you will find your way
Mornie alantie (darknesss has fallen)
A promise lives within you now

May it be the shadows call
Will fly away
May it be your journey on
To light the day
When the night is overcome
You may rise to find the sun

Mornie utúlie (darknesss has come)
Believe and you will find your way
Mornie alantie (darknesss has fallen)
A promise lives within you now

A promise lives within you now

Then for the last verse, the audience saw a woman walk on stage to a microphone set up behind Enya. The woman had a deep, rich voice that sounded as though she truly cared for the listeners and was actually imparting this blessing of goodwill upon them. They could not see who the singer was but her voice and Enya’s blended together perfectly in harmony. The audience sat spellbound, reliving the journey of the Fellowship throughout the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Finally, the end came and the mysterious singer stepped into the light revealing…

Luthien! The audience gave a standing ovation to the two singers who humbly accepted their praise with bows and walked off the stage.

"Luth, that was gorgeous!" said Stephen kissing her on the cheek.
"Thank you, Stephen. I've never sung with Enya before. She has a fantastic voice!" said Luthien. "But now, I'm done. Shall we go enjoy the rest of the show?"
******************

Now, Rea is ready to post her next piece, so...

Re: The Frodos

As the applause died down Rea stepped on the stage, accompanied to the hobbit sized podium by her own personal security, Pippin. He stood dutifully about five steps back while Rea approached the Podium.

"This next category is one of monumental importance, as it answers a question that has been pondered through the ages.......'Which of the companies made up words and phrases is the best?' (the audience laughs)........Okay, so perhaps its not quite THAT important....but don't you want to know???" (more laughs)

"Very well then, without further hesitation, to present the award for 'Best company word or phrase' please welcome Faramir, from the line of the Stewards of Gondor."

Rea steps back next to Pippin and applauds as Faramir steps to the podium, looking a tad nervous and confused, holding the envelope and Frodo.

"It is my pleasure to present the award for 'Best company word or phrase'. The company is an amazing group with great strength of conviction and a tight bond of friendship through thick and thin, and where would they be without their original words and phrases which make them so unique as a group..........And the winner of the Frodo for 'Best Company Word or Phrase' is...........'Oh My Cow'"

Lem, Bee and Mush made their way excitedly to the stage to accept the award on behalf of the company.

"Thankyou!!! Who knew a slip of the tounge or a miscellaneous word here and there could make such a positive impact in our lives!!! We love you all!! World Peace!! Middle Earth Rocks!!!"

"Our next award is greatly debated.....there are so many fantastic battle scenes in The Rings Trilogy that it is hard to decide which deserves this award.....thats why there is a vote......To present the award for Best Battle Scene in The Rings Trilogy, please welcome....Gimli."

"Thank ya wee lassie, I have seen my fair share of battles and have fought hard alongside my fellowship friends.....I...even, we are proud that you would honour our battles in such a way.........without further ado, the winner of the frodo for 'Best Battle Scene' is "The Battle of The Hornburg", Helm's Deep, Rohan!!!!"

Lady Eowyn and her brother Eomer make their way to the stage, to accept the award on behalf of their Uncle and of Rohan.

"Thankyou for this honour.....we defended our people and were Triumphant against the forces of evil!!!.......Thankyou!!"

Through shadow
To the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight

Rea steps back to the Podium and this time Pippin joins her.

"Pippin, do you think I have a good singing voice?"

"You sing like an angel, m'dear."

Rea clears her voice and begins to sing:

When the cold of winter comes
Starless night will cover day

"Ahem......Rea...."

In the veiling of the sun
We will walk in bitter rain

".....Rea....."

But in dreams......

"REA!!!!.........ehr......heh.......We need to get on with the presentations my Diamond"

"Oh yes, of course!! (blushing) Sorry Pippy-bear...........Our next award is for Best Vocalist. Throughout 'The Lord of the Rings' there are many brilliant vocal pieces sung by some very talented vocal artists."

(Pip) "Making it difficult to choose who is best suited for this Frodo......But the votes are in.....and the winner of the Frodo for 'Best Vocalist' is.........Billy Boyd"

Billy makes his way to the stage and shakes hands with Pippin, who gives him the statuette, then shakes hands with Rea who kisses him while offering her congratulations, causing Billy to break into a smile, and Pippin to scowl and glare.

"Thankyou for this honour........Mrs Took....perhaps we should do a duet in the future!! (Rea laughs and Pippin scowls more) I am honoured that my song was featured in the movie and that it could touch so many of you so deeply......Thankyou all!!!!"

"Now onto the tail end of my presentations, and what better to begin the end than the award for 'Best Trailer Music'......to present this award, please welcome Bruce Hopkins!"

"The trailer music holds an important job.....giving us our final impression of a movie and in the case of a trilogy, perhaps encouraging us to see the next of the series.........It is my pleasure to present the award for 'Best Trailer Music' to........"The Return of The King" Original Music by Howard Shore!!!!!!!"

Howard makes his way to the stage.......

"Thankyou once again......there were two other brilliant artists up for this award and I feel honoured that you chose my composition to recieve this award......thankyou all."

Re: The Frodos

"And now we are at the end of my presentations. This last award that I have the honour to present is also Musical. And Mr Howard Shore, I would like you to stay on stage to present the award for 'Best Theme'."

"Why thankyou Mrs Took. I spent alot of time moulding each theme into the character of the people or places that they were to represent....to make them fit and compliment each other as much as possible, and it is my honour to present this award to ........ 'The Fellowship Theme'."

The theme starts to play as the lights go down and the audience applauds......Rea, Pip and Howard make their way offstage, ducking behind the red curtain, making way for the next presenter.
