--- ...But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in Mordor where the shadows are.

~Songs and poems~
My favorite song...
Gil-galad was an Elven-king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing:
The last whose realms was fair and free
between the mountains and the sea
His sword was long, his lance was keen,
his shining helm afar was seen;
the countless stars of heaven's field
were mirrored inhis silver shield.
But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in Mordor where the shadows are.
and...
Ho!Ho!Ho! to the bottle I go
To heal my heart and drown my woe.
Rain may fall and wind may blow
And many miles be still to go,
But under a tall tree I will lie,
and let the clouds go sailing by.
--- ...But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in Mordor where the shadows are.

Re: ~Songs and poems~
I like this one from FotR
Snow-white! Snow-white! O Lady clear!
O Queen beyond the Western Seas!
O Light to us that wander here
Amid the world of woven trees!
Gilthoniel! O Elbereth!
Clear are thy eyes and bright thy breath!
Snow-white! Snow-white! We sing to thee
In a far land beyond the Sea.
O stars that in the Sunless Year
With shining hand by her were sown,
In windy fields now bright and clear
We see your silver blossom blown!
O Elbereth! Gilthoniel!
We still remember, we who dewll
In this far land beneath the trees,
Thy starlight on the Western Seas.
--- A Elbereth Gilthoniel,
silivren penna miriel
o menel aglar elenath!
Na-chaered palan-diriel
o galadhremmin ennorath,
Fanuilos, le linnathon
nef aear, si nef aearon!

Re: ~Songs and poems~
Hi! I was able to save the poem but not Tolkien reading the books. It calls it a popup and won't save it all. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas about what to do!
Just edited to say, I'm looking back and trying to decide my favorite song

Wow, Nath! :wow: How amazing!
--- May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back, the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow of His hand. ~Irish Blessing
