The Hobbit
I'm listening to The Hobbit on cassette. :happy: I'm just after Riddles in the Dark. The only reason I'm listening to it and not reading is because I'm cleaning a lot, so I just pop The Hobbit in and BOOM there I go.  hehehe
What's your favorite part(s)?
When you think of the Hobbit, what is the first thing you remember from the book?

What's your favorite part(s)? When Bilbo first meets the dwarfs in the Shire, The Songs the elves sing in Rivendale and Bilbo taking the Arkenstone to the elves.
When you think of the Hobbit, what is the first thing you remember from the book? When Bilbo takes the Arkenstone to the elves...that whole part is awesome.
Favorite Dwarf? Thorin Oakenshield.

What's your favorite part(s)? When Gandalf meets Bilbo on his front doorstep.  When all the dwarves come to tea. The encounter with the trolls. Riddles in the dark and subsequent escape (esp. buttons popping off!). Travelling through Mirkwood. The conversation with Smaug, and his slaying.
When you think of the Hobbit, what is the first thing you remember from the book? "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit..." I always think of the beginning, and get an image of a perfectly round green door with a brass knob dead centre!
Favorite Dwarf? The one that fell asleep and had to be carried through Mirkwood. The fat one, Bombur.
