 What inspires *you*?

When it comes to writing and painting, there is always something that seems to inspire us...whether it be the beauty of nature, some form of music, or even a small passage from a book. I want to know what inspires you; what it is that gets your creative juices flowing. It can be anything, so don't be embarassed or shy (although I don't think any of us are like thatemoticon )...come on in and shareemoticon

Hmm, a lot of times it is unclear, and I'll just start writing or drawing. Then some memories will inspire me.

And nature, it always inspires me, rainy days especially. emoticon

The Rocky Mountains on an infinitely clear day or when a storm is rolling in inspired me. That was a few years ago, tho.

Locally, mostly nature or music. I'm really into music. I always have some type of music playing. emoticon

Music is probably a big thing that inspires me, too, along with certain things like sunsets or rainstorms. I love writing while listening to Irish music or just classical, although I hardly own any[/] of that type.emoticon

Stating the obvious here, but Tolkien and his works, and PJ and crew and their works inspire me. And people like yourselves, who are all so intelligent and creative.
