Re: The Book Topic
I'm reading The Hobbit and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
I don't think these need explaining, I'm just trying to get in as much fun reading as possible before I hit Genetics and A&P eek!!
I'm in the middle of both

Re: The Book Topic
Well, I don't remember reading the Hobbit, but I think I did when I was younger.
I'm liking it so far
I've read HP, just doing it again, because I'm addicted

Re: The Book Topic
Author: Ben Elton
Title: High Society
Plot summary: An exaggerated look at Britain's drug culture and the government's stance on the legalisation of all drugs. Popstars, street kids, politians, policemen, the aristocracy, all feature in their various story threads, all are linked by their connection to the drugs issue.
Comments: This is a very clever, witty satire of our modern day culture. It tackles a very tough subject with humour, yet manages to evoke the destuctiveness of drug-taking and the mammoth problems of dealing with such a widespread criminal network, and its victims. What struck me the most was the poignant story of 17 year old Jessie, a homeless girl who falls into addiction and prositution, who has no help from the law and has no one to save her, yet she finds the strength within to help herself. Alongside the excesses of the rich and famous, it really is very moving. Features Adult material so I wouldn't reccommend this to the under 18s.

Re: The Book Topic
I've just read Shiloh Autumn by Bodie and Brock Thoene and I'm currently reading The Rescuer by Dee Henderson. Both are SO good and I highly recommend them!
