The Transformers - Live Action film
I keep hearing more and more about this film and I am getting really hyped over it.
What I know right now is that Paramount will release the film, Dreamworks SKG is producing.
Spielberg is on as Exec. Director and ILM will be doing the CGI for the film.
At this point I am already salivating. However, I do have one humble request. PLEASE let Peter Cullen and Frank Welker voice Prime and Megatron respectively. They were the voices of the characters in the TV series... and in my mind, they are the TRUE Prime and Megs.
Now I have heard that thanks to US toy laws and what not, Megatron WILL NOT be a gun, but a tank. Ok.. I can see that. After all, he's been a tank in a few other series and even in some of the comics...
I just hope that come 7/4/07 we will see an awesome looking CGI Prime and Megatron...

You're not alone there. I grew up in the Transformers/G.I. Joe era and I hope this movie does well. I'm sure CGI will make even more advances before the film comes out so there's even a better chance that the characters will look amazing. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Never really got into Transformers but I can certainly relate to those that have and look forward to a movie of their favourite genre.
So heres hoping with all of you.

The teaser trailer is up for viewing. If you go to http://www.transformersmovie.com , hit the "view the annoucment" button and you're treated to the trailer.
I have heard a lot about this movie since I first started this thread. Even managed to seen images that apparent;y should not have been posted! Let's just say that some of the cars they are using are incredible!
One appears to be a 2006 Ford Mustang Saleen edition, painted to look like a police car. However, instead of the normal "badge" or "crest" decal of the city, county or area they serve, this one has a huge Decepticon logo where the city seal would be! Also instead of saying, "To Protect and Serve..." on the back of the car, this one has the saying, "To Punish and Enslave..."
So, that's a tiny tidbit. Am I excited? Absolutely! I've already seen 3 trailers for movies I need to see in 2007! Ghost Rider, Spider-Man 3 and now, Transformers!
