Silent Hill
Wow, no posts here on that movie, eh?
So far this is the single BEST game-to-movie I've ever seen. Most g-2-m movies are really bad, largely in part to Uwe Boll's hands in the mess. Others are just medicore while others yet are very good movies which are sadly just untrue to their core foundations.
Not Silent Hill. It's dead on. May scenes at the start of the movie were filmed precisely shot-for-shot, and angle-for-angle as they appeared in the game. It pulled no punches with the gore, either. I really thought there would be moments where they'd cut away before something horrible happened but no, they went ahead and showed it.
I suggest you eat something that makes you queasy before you go see this movie. Something that brings you to the verge of spewing all over the people who are sitting in front of you. ...then just wait. You'll know when to do your thing when you see it on screen. It's just gross, horrible, unnecessary and... Completely true to the game/
...right down to the happy ending which I shall not give away.
