For out resident Day Walker You probably have heard this but some more detailed info just in case:
Jones Confirmed for Blade Series
Source: Variety November 10, 2005
Spike TV has cast Kirk "Sticky" Jones to star in the cable channel's premiere original drama effort Blade, reports Variety.
Based on the comic book and film franchise of the same name, Blade centers on a half-man, half-vampire warrior endeavoring to save the human race from a demonic underworld.
Feature screenwriter David Goyer (Batman Begins, the "Blade" trilogy) is executive producing and co-writing the script with the comic's author Geoff Johns. New Line Television is producing.
Spike committed to the project in spring and production is set to begin November 14 in Vancouver. Should Blade get a series pickup, Spike executives are eyeing a June 2006 premiere.

I knew there was a lot of talk about doing a Blade TV seris but this confirms who and when.
Re: For out resident Day Walker Thanks for the info Emma. I have been tracking on this but I heard some disappointing news. I heard that the series wouldn't even center itself around Blade and the story would take place after Trinity. There was talk about it focusing on a female vampire hunter. So i'm thinking it'll be like some sort of Birds of Prey show. Personally I was looking forward to more of a prequel like Smallville or something. Perhaps this will not be the case though. I'll have my stakes crossed in hopes of a good series.
Re: For out resident Day Walker No it is a male lead as Blade but I will see what else I can dig up. It is all depending on if they sell the concept to the TV producers.
Re: For out resident Day Walker Believe me when I say that i'm really hoping for the best. Did you hear what time it would be set in? (before Blade 1 or after Trinity?)
Re: For out resident Day Walker OK - this is the latest I have source Vanity

Jill Wagner, Neil Jackson, Nelson Lee and Jessica Gower round out the cast. Peter O'Fallon will direct.
Marvel's Avi Arad and New Line's Jim Rosenthal and Jon Kroll also will executive produce. Bill McGoldrick and Lisa Ullmann will oversee for Spike.
Jones was a regular on FX drama "Over There" and had a recurring role on "The Shield." He is best known, however, as frontman "Sticky Fingaz" for hip-hop group Onyx.

No absolute indication of when but the take I get from it is that it will be pre-Blade 1.
Re: For out resident Day Walker Hmmm, I know who "Sticky fingaz" is but I just don't see him as Blade. On the other hand, I haven't seen him in a while and he has been doing some small acting gigs. Here are some pics:
What do you think? He looks nothing like Wesley but with Hollywood and make-up, who knows.
Re: For out resident Day Walker Yeah, well agreed that he looks nothing like Wesley but I guess with every new actor filling in the part there's a new look. I don't think anyone expected Michael Keaton to be Adam West, etc. As long as he really SELLS us on being Blade, I'm cool with it.
