Chris' costumes
Greetings all!
Long time no see for many of you. First off, let me assure you that I am indeed alive and well. Just very busy with work, holidays and of course, trooping!
I just finished the year with 2 parades. One was a night parade and was also the debut of my TIE Pilot uniform, the other was the Holiday Children's Parade in Oakland, Ca.
That being said, I thought I would post a few pictures of my costumes for all to see.
Since this is the one I wear 99% of the time, I wish to show you my Biker Scout costume.
^Bucket Off
^On Patrol
Now, I present my newest costume, my TIE Pilot.
^DS-187 Callsign: Womprat
On to my Jedi Knight. This has been reworked a bit since this picture was taken. The hilt I am using now has a covtech clip (as used in the films) and I have added pouches and a set of Jedi Food Pellets.
^Nas-Ric Tenretni, Jedi Knight & Blade.

Re: Chris' costumes
Thank you for the warm welcome and the complements. I do appriciate the feed back. Ms. Frost, the blaster you see me holding in the TIE picture is handmade as well. That took a month of my friend and I working hard on it. Mr. Wayne has seen it upclose and can verify how it looks!
The parades were great. I got a lot of positive feedback from the parade goers, and the kids love it when they see Stormtroopers, Biker Scouts and Darth Vader in a parade.
I also neglected to mention that I was also busy on a lot of weekends building a car. YES... BUILDING a car. Not a model, but a live, working vehicle.
Ok, let me try to explain this... Our Garrison (Golden Gate Garrison, 501st Legion) acquired a chasis for a $90,000 sports car, a Ford Magusta, for FREE!!!! We took that chasis and built it into a STAR WARS inspired and looking vehicle. As far as I know, we are the ONLY Garrison out there that has a parade vehicle. The body is plywood sheets. It took us 11 weeks to make this thing go from idea to reality, but I have to say it looks incredible! For those able to make it, it is my understanding that it will be on display at WonderCon in San Francisco this year!!!!
Aside from work and all, I am re-working another costume. Ok, so you could say I am getting another one. My Imperial Officer's uniform. Some friends of mine make them and offered to make one for me...so I agreed.
As for my working on costumes, I have 1 more that I want to do.. but I need to wait until after the holidays and all so I can budget my time and money more effectively. This very well will be my last costume too. (unless I decide to take the plunge and do Fett). However, I want to make an X-Wing Fighter Pilot uniform. I figure 2 good guys, and 3 bad guys makes a nice, fairly even wardrobe to choose from.
Take care all and talk to you soon
Chris

Re: Chris' costumes
Well, talk about a small world. I probably ran into you, or walked by you if you were at ComicCon last year. I was the scout that was all dirty and had a "blast mark" on my shoulder.
The Tie costume is a lot of fun. Not as much armor (chest/back and chest box)
Don't get me wrong, I love my scout. But, when I feel like doing something different, I go with TIE.
