Margarito vs. Mayweather
Antonio Margarito was at the fight Saturday night. So was Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rumor has it that the
two had to be separated (mere boxing theatrics) as Margarito pestered Floyd about the reason he is
being dodged. Mayweather played the “I’m a smart business man” role. Margarito knows the
reason

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
I think Mayweather is a little over-rated. The way Oscar looked the other night I'd have to make him the heavy favorite vs. Floyd.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
I have to agree. Mayweather needs to get his head out his arse! The only one he's fooling is himself. All this business man talk is a charade. I still love Floyd though.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
floyd is an amazing fighter. but why is he turning down 8 million reasons to fight margarito? everyone knows that floyd can't draw flys let alone fill an arena. i think before he fights de la hoya he should fight antonio margarito and or hatton. he really hasn't earned the right. reminds me of a little roy jones jr.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
Floyd is going to have to change his tune since I heard Oscar is injured and probably won't be ready for September 16. Floyd knows it's too risky to fight Margarito or Hatton now. Margarito is a dangerous Welterweight and Hatton is too agressive and strong for Floyd. I think he'll wait for Oscar which is probably the toughest fight of the 3.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
oscar is definitly the toughest of the 3. after hatton's performance this past weekend in my mind he is out as far as challenging anyone like mayweather. he was exposed and got a biased decision. he better stay at the lower weight.

Hatton may grow into 147 if he stays there long enough though.

I have to disagree with you here on Hatton being to aggressive for Floyd. I actually think Mayweather would use Rickey's aggressive tactics against him if they fought. If Hatton can't grab on he should be very vulnerable to Floyds quickness and boxing skills. I just can't imagine a face first fighter standing much of a chance against someone of Mayweather's abilities.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
Especially in light of last week's performance. Hatton was outboxed for much of the fight by Collazo who is pretty slick but nowhere near Floyd in the speed department.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
Here's another rumor to throw into the mix.
Gotta admit, i didn't see this one coming.
Today out in print, Edwin Rollon of manilastandardtoday.com reports that Games and Amusements Board chairman Eric Buhain confirms that Mayweather Jr. is considering fighting Manny Pacquiao.
Buhain is quoted in Manila Standard Today.com in regards to Mayweather vs Pacquiao: “It’s going to be a blockbuster. Our friends in the world boxing council tipped this to us, and if plans push through, this would be the biggest break for Manny.”
Buhain added: “Manny’s ideal weight is 130 lb, but he can fight at 135 and Mayweather is willing to trim down from 140 to 135 just to fight Pacquaio.”
