Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
BoxRec has Mayweather Jr fighting Kermit Citron this November. A guy Margarito seriously effed up in 5 rounds. If Mayweather struggeles to beat this dude all he'll gain is being exposed as no match for Margarito. At first i used to think Mayweather avoided Margarito to follow the money, but now im certain, he's avoiding him because of his POWER.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
There's no way this fight happens. Mayweather would shame himself too much by taking that fight instead of the Margarito one. Boxrec has been known to put "mythical" fights on their schedule.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
True. Example, J.Gonzalez VS Rafael Marquez.
Now its J. Gonzalez VS Israel Vazquez again.
But on the same token, they have been pretty accurate as well. Example, Barrera VS R. Juarez. So for now, all we can do is take it with a grain of salt. Im sure they post the future bouts for a reason. Insider information im hoping.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
You know as much as I thought at first that this fight shouldn't be made, the more I think about it the more I like it. Cintron will be the strongest puncher Mayweather has ever faced. Cintron has also rebounded well since the Margarito debacle. We'll see though. Rumors change everyday in the fight game.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
It is more likely that Cintron will fight Mayweather, given that he nixed a fight with Richard Gutierrez that was to be televized on HBO. Why else would Cintron miss-out on the exposure of HBO. Fighting and beating Mayweather sounds like a better form of exposure. As for Mayweather, he's probably figuring if he fights Cintron who is a hard puncher and beats him, probably gives him a better feel of what to expect from Margarito. The problem for Mayweather is that Cintron is just a hard puncher but not fast as opposed to Margarito who is a harder puncher and faster.
p.s.
Did you hear they're starting to call Mayweather "FRAUD" Maywether Jr. now.
So far, pretty accurate.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
Yeah I've heard that Fraud Mayweather. Pretty good description at this point. If he doesn't fight Margarito, Cotto, or Castillo again, I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Cintron. Call me crazy, but I'm not a Floyd hugger. Something about this fight intrigues me.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
Mosley just told Mayweather to look somewhere else for a fight this November, according to an interview with secondsout.com

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
Hahahahha! Take that Fraud! Even his peers want to see him fight Margarito. I mean, how much more can he avoid the inevidable.
Anyway, BoxRec no longer has Kermit fighting Mayweather, wonder if Fraud has come to his boxing senses and will finally take on Margarito.

Re: Margarito vs. Mayweather
and in addition.......
In a recent article by Steve Kim of MaxBoxing.com, Margarito is quoted about his feelings towards Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Mayweather has reportedly turned down a 8 million dollars to face Margarito.
Margarito tells Kim: “As a person, Mayweather has all the respect I can give him, but as a fighter, he has none of my respect. I can't understand how Mayweather - who calls himself the best fighter in the world and says there's never been another fighter like him - does not step in the ring with me to face me. I do not believe he should be saying that he's the
best at welterweight in the world because he hasn't faced me.
Margarito added: "He needs to face me, and he needs to beat me, because this is the fight that everyone is asking for. This is not a fight that I'm the only one asking for. This is a fight that everyone in the boxing world is asking for."
