Just pray
Hello all. I don't know how many of you are still reading this board, but I just want to encourage everyone to continue to pray, even if you don't think you have anything to pray about... even if you don't feel like it... even if everything in your life is going great... just pray.
The devil seems to be really working on us lately, and we need to pray together, alone, and constantly to overcome his. We ourselves cannot fight the devil alone and we need to continue to ask God to help us, whatever situation we're in.
There are so many of us out there that are struggling with our faith, with our relationships, our jobs, our family... and I just want to encourage you that you can get through it with God's help. We can all get through it together under God's wings.
Have faith! God loves us still. He may want to test us, but it's only because he wants us to rely on Him, and He wants us to be prepared for whatever lies ahead. We can't let the devil take down what we've brought up with this group, with this church.
Keep praying! Pray for your family, pray for your friends, pray for our churches, for those that we can't stand.
Praise God! He deserves it. He is our God and He loves us, no matter what stupid things we do or what idiotic things we say. He will forgive us if you just ask.
Never give up. Never put your guard down. A lot of us have so many things on our plates and it can make it hard sometimes to focus on God's light, and we may want to just "take a break" from it all, but remember, we are living a marathon daily. We aren't suppose to take a break from our relationship with God.
Please know this is suppose to be words of encouragement. I hope you are encouraged. I will pray for you... please pray for me, too, because I need it as much as anyone.
I love you all. If you ever need help, advice, someone to listen, just ask. It doesn't have to be me, but it can be anyone in the group. That's what we're in this group for as well... for each other.

great way to put it out there tash..
i just want to add onto what she said...
sometimes i think we blame the devil for whats going on. dont get me wrong, i'm sure a lot IS from the devil..
but i also think it goes a little further than that.
just notice..... our church is moving in a whole new direction, for obvious reasons. so i believe that what God is really trying to do is see which ones of us are really serious about "moving on" with Him. i know a lot of us are going through struggles and what not, and through all that, God wants to see if we will really go through, not compromising, not bickering or complaining, not feeling sorry for ourselves, not focusing on ourselves and what we are going through, but he wants to see if we will push through and keep focus on what we as sons and warriors of God are called to do. we sing it in church all the time: Hillsong united's 'the stand'. if we really mean what we sing, then God wants to see if we will take the stand no matter what.
Daniel 1:8 says that he purposed not to turn from the statutes of God, and we must remind ourselves, at that time of captivity, IT WAS ROUGH. and amidst all the turmoil that the man of GOd went through, God blessed him because of that very reason: the uncompromisible, unwavering stand.
And yes, we can fight the devil altogether, but more than anything, we need to live a life of genuine purpose. this takes our focus away from ourselves and onto Godly things. Remember what James 4:7 says, "resist the devil and he will flee." Simple as that. no war games. no arguing with him. no combat training. just resist. dont feed in by allowing yourself to focus on whats going on, or by being discouraged... focus on your very reason for living, and all the things that you go through will not have ANY impact on you.
"well easier said than done" as you might say, but trust me, YOU HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVING IN YOU, so live like it.
and one last thing, remember God inhabits the praise of His people.. you want to see God move in your own lives, praise is our greatest gift.

Man... you guys have a lot of words built up in your noggins. Is this english class or something?  You guys must be really serious about this stuff...  Since you guys are getting serious, let's get serious about everything and start coming (whenever possible) to prayer and praise Sunday nights so we can pray TOGETHER (I know everyone has DVR or TIVO now so you can record whatever shows you usually watch during these times and so someone besides Johanna and I can lead praise and worship... neh), join the new Bible study series uncle Dave started on Wednesdays (There was a total 8 people there last night including us), and just for my sanity and to be a good example to everyone else at church including the kids growing up... pleeeaassseeeee can we come to Church on time and break the "Filipino Time" excuse (early if you're playing on the worship team... I do very much so appreciate the ppl that have consistently made it to church early since we asked everyone to and your willingness to learn how to do the sound, computer, etc so that we're not the only ones running around every morning). Also, remember the agreement we made at The Fire regarding our meetings and if you don't remember we can remind everyone at the next meeting.
