My co-worker's son
Pls pray for Dara and her 10 yr old son Andrew. He just went through his second spine surgery and is still in a lot of pain. He is experiencing severe pain down his left arm and the drs don't know what's causing it. They want to open him back up again to check, but they are giving him a couple more weeks to see if the pain subsides.
Andrew was born with a spine disease and went through his 1st surgery when he was 18 months old. Dara is a single mom and is extremely exhausted...physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Pls pray that God give them strength, rest, peace, and healing. Thx!

I just wanted to give an update on this. Andrew had a successful surgery and has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He still has some residual pain in his arms and his voice isn't fully restored. However, the doctors want to give him a year to see if everything resolves itself.
Dara has used up all of her sick and vacation leave, so she had to go back to work. Her parents are thinking about moving up to Redding to help take care of Andrew during the day (he is being home-schooled by Dara's friend).
