204-01 Animal Guides
Hi Everyone
I personally don't "see" animal spirits but I feel them. I feel their energy and also physically when they are on me, especially ants, spider, beetles and snakes when theyre crawling on me. It wasnt until I met a friend that sees that I was able to put two and two together and understand why sometimes I felt like my skin was crawling. Ive found that an animal or animals usually appear for one to five days, but that others also come and go in the process. Still others like Bear, wolf, lion, panther, Eagle, cobra, crabs, to name a few are pretty regular visitors. Large animals are not on me, but beside me and at times I feel them nudge me or trip me up.
Each animal has unique characteristics and gifts and messages. Take for instance the earthworm, who with its soft body can move through and soften the hardest earth and find abundance and peace in the process. And grasshopper is also one I have with me a lot. His, and as Im writing this I just got corrected, HER message is to make the leap, the leap of faith and trust that you will land safely. And also, and this is BIGGIE, a grasshopper can never leap backwards, only forwards.
Ted Andrews book" Animal speaks" or " Animal wise" are good ones to get you started as a point of reference. Don't take everything as gospel, but rather take what "feels" good for you. (And don't take the gospel as gospel either) but thats another topic.

Re: 204-01 Animal Guides
Hi!
I, too, refer to animal guides for advice and direction. Lynx walks with me, as does Coyote ... though many have come and gone throughout my life. For me, I find it helpful to read up on the animal in nature books ... and as I have visual artistic skills, I will draw them and meditate on them.
What animals have come to you, and what have you learned from them? I find that sometimes it is not so much the characteristics of that animal that is important, as the circumstances in which you came upon them and how you felt about it at the time. For instance, I was once in my living room and noticed a cat in the yard playing with something that I thought was a stick. She looked rather funny, jumping up in the air. I watched for a few minutes, when someone else said "oh, my god, is that a squirell the cat has?" ..... my heart dropped. I had been laughing and entertained while this poor creature was being tortured. I didn't SEE. I ran outside, and the poor thing had crawled under a grate so that it could die. No one knew what to do, and I found myself very calm. No one wanted to touch it, they were afraid of being bitten and getting rabies. I ran inside, picked up a box and towel, and placed the squirell in it. We took it to a wildlife rescue centre down the street, but unfortunately it died.
Some of the themes I took from this was:
*I wasn't seeing the small/vulnerable preyed upon (the squirel was a baby)
*Someone around me was willing to let the vulnerable suffer alone, without comfort. Represents society, myself.
*There is a refuge for every creature, no matter how insignificant they may seem to most.

Re: 204-01 Animal Guides
Hi,
I had a bird guide me today.
Guided me to be in the light.
My Absolution:
Cherish the Moments.
WeeWillyWagtail, flitting in the rain,
His tail feathers gleefully wagging from side to side.
Chasing little insects. Oh! Morsels so sweet.
His pure freedom is something to feel.
Not worrying about fitting in with societies daily requests and demands.
Cherish the moments whilst observing and feeling complete acceptance,
Of simply being free.
Enjoy in the Moment.
So Absolute.
The Absolute; that which is free from any restrictions, or is unconditioned; the ultimate ground of all things.
Absolution; the act of absolving; release from consequences, obligations or penalties.
-------There were: none--------
Thought I'd share that.
smile and be happy,
flick
