Hi everyone,
Recently, Ive been drawn to designing a web page and also modifying this message board. For starters, Ive been collecting info on HTML on the web. A few days ago I downloaded some HTML pages from a site by Joe Burns. At the end of the introduction he wrote,
quote:I suggest you make a point of learning to look at other authors HTML pages. You say youre already doing that, right? Maybe. What I mean is for you to look at the HTML document a person wrote to present the page you are looking at. DONT LOOK AT THE PRETTY PAGE, LOOK BEHIND IT AT THE HTML DOCUMENT.
I thought of how similar that is to how we work. How our imprints, programs and beliefs actually control how we present ourselves to the world. And that now, we need to look at these programs to see how they are really controlling us in a negative way and to delete them or let them go. I remember Rita, a friend of mine who mentioned the similarly of computers and us a few years ago when she was taking a programming course and was talking about roots directories (past lives) and such but at that time I thought I was doing good just to be able to cut and paste.
To see what Im talking about and to view the HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) of this page, click on view in the browser and then click on Source. Scroll about half way down youll begin to see the actual text portion of this page. All the rest of the words and symbols are used to control the style or form of the boxes and lines, and where and how the text and colour is presented. Without the programming behind the scene, you would not see the page you are looking at.
What is also interesting is that the programming can be changed IF you know the language and how it works. You can change text size, location, colour and then you can also get into images and do the same with them and then into animation and special effects. The programmer is the CONTROLLER, and that is where computers and Humans are similar. Knowing that you have been programmed and how you were programmed is the first step to deprogramming yourself and to enable you to present to the world who you really are, instead of what the present controller, the Inner Critic and its programs wants you to think that you are.
