Introduction to "How-to" Section ~ at Runboard.com
Community logo

This board is multifaceted, crossing various topics from New Age, spirituality, metaphysical, psychology, physical issues, relationships, emotions, self-help and more. It is created for those who seek change and desire to empower themselves, to live life as an expression of who they really are in unconditional love. If you think/feel that your life and this world full of denial, fear and unlovingness is totally opposite what you desire, it is no coincidence that you are here.

To say that this board will be controversial is an understatement as it goes against almost everything society presently believes to be true about emotions, feelings, life and love. But then why wouldn't it be controversial if the desire and goal is the opposite of what is presently being experienced! To empower yourself, you need to be open to challenge everything you believe to be true, especially about love, life, emotions and feelings and also be willing to end your denials of self.

I openly share the knowledge, tools, messages and insights that I've gained through sixteen years of intensive personal experience and in working with others on their journey. Feel free to visit the various forums and posts and to also add your personal experiences, comments and questions. It is my intent that the ideas and works that will be discussed within this forum will not only expand your consciousness, but also activate your emotions and touch your heart.

In love, light and life,
John Rieger aka Shenreed

Introduction to "How-to" Section

Hi everyone,

What Ill be posting in this how to section is actually from the draft APPENDIX of my proposed book Journey to the Heart Centre. Im not going to edit it specifically for this web site, except to put it into the various topics for
easy reference, as this section is almost 24,000 words in length. Editing is also required as there is a 10,000 character and space limit on each post in this message board. Use these tools for your journeys as share them with others as you feel directed to.

Namaste
John Rieger

Appendix

Originally I was going to insert the tools and techniques as I went along but then felt it would be better served in the form of an appendix. This way, it could also serve as a handy reference guide for the reader and would also enable me to add any future experiences and insights related to that topic. Ill be discussing all the tools that Ive used but I feel its important to give you the Meditation / Visualization techniques in detail, as it is used as a springboard for all other journeys.

While I write from the perspective of doing these journeys with another or by yourself, there is nothing stopping you from experiencing any of these tools in a group setting. Sometimes the experiences wouldnt be as intensive, while other times they are more so. If youre interested in working with a group, I would suggest that you begin by doing guided meditations and visualizations. I also recommend that you have several personal and shared experiences before you set out to conduct any of the other journeys in a group format. This will give you some experience so that youll know what to expect and how to assist a member of the group should they get into difficulty.

Althought Ive arranged these tools in a specific order they may not be how you experience them. However, it's important that you begin in the order that Ive presented them so that you will develop a firm base from which to jump off of on your other journeys, especially the grounding, meditation and visualization techniques.

If youve already experienced any of what Im presenting here, it would be beneficial if you allowed yourself to be open to this process as what Im giving you here has key information. Once youve become familiar with the basic techniques and have experienced the various journeys, you can then apply what you feel is right for you and you will be guided to the next step. Its easier to teach an open mind, someone who has never experienced what you are showing them, than to try to change the mind of someone who thinks they know what they are doing. What Im saying here is, put aside what youve been taught, if it differs from what Im offering you as that will only hamper your experience, but again, that is your choice and your experience, so forget what I just said. (Smile) As stated, you will have conscious awareness of what youre experiencing, simply allow yourself to begin, to trust your intuition and to go or experience where or what you need to. Im on a journey like you are and new experiences are always unfolding, bringing new insights and tools. What I share with you now is what Ive experienced and what I know and believe to be true in this moment. I feel that anything new I discover will not change what Ive said here, but rather add to it, as will what you experience on your journeys add to your knowing.

And now, these are the tools Ive discovered that have helped me on my inner journey. Ive divided the journey into eight separate sections of (breath, grounding, relaxing the body, centering), our intent, the journey, returning, and integrating. Before you do any meditation/visualization or any of the other journeys, you will need to prepare yourself by going through the basics techniques of (Breath, Grounding, Relaxing, and Centering). Like I said earlier, once youre familiar with the tools and have experienced the journeys you can adapt your own unique style, but until you are comfortable on your own, it would be best to follow these guidelines. Having reached your place of centre, your individual journey will begin from there with (Our intent). This same place of centre will also be the ending point of all your journeys when you return.

This next part may be a bit confusing to you at first, but Im sure youll appreciate it when you get the hang of it. I use the same basic techniques of (Breath, Grounding, Relaxing, and Centering) for the beginning of each journey and so instead of repeating myself, Ive decided to refer you back to the section on Meditation in order for you to begin any journey. In this way, what Ill present for each specific journey or tool will just focus on what is different and important for that journey. It will begin with Our intent, then move into The journey and conclude with (Returning and Integrating). Returning and integrating are also basically the same but as theyre relatively short, Ive included them with each journey as it helps maintain the flow. Any extra details and insights for the particular journey will be found under Notes.
