Who am I?
Hi, i can share some of who I know me to be. My name is Felicity, I live in the Perth eastern suburbs, Western Australia. I was born in Broken Hill NSW and spent a lot of time growing up in the "outback". I'm nearly 37 and comfortable with that number.
My hobbies (when I find time) are gardening, writing, I'm learning guitar, music, I love music, i enjoy watching Aussie rules and English Soccer. I enjoy reading, particularly history. I ride my pushbike often and love to escape out in th bush.
I have five children and am separated. Their ages range from 16 to 3 1/2.
I work 3 days a week as a gardener in an aged care facility, which I love. I have a lot of respect for the elderly and they have so much to share.
My greatest ambition at this point in my life is to be free to love me unconditonally and those around me that I care about.
I guess that will do for now.
smile, be happy,
flickchic.

Re: Who am I?
Hi Flick,
A belated welcome to the Heart Centre. It's interesting that you are physically half way round the world and yet joined by heart. I enjoy reading your posts and get a kick out of your Aussie grammar, not at all like Crocodile Dundee as I never heard him say "whilst"
Cheers
John

Re: Who am I?
Hi everyone,
Well, your post in response to mine tickled me pink John, acutally I ought rephrase that as pink isn't a fav. of mine; purple (as in royal) and orange are the go. Yep, whilst I may use whilst I can sure as 'ell throw tha' bloody slang along with the rest of 'em. Nup, deff. not a croc. Dundee, hey I'm probably more Aussie than 'im, I am a second generation Ocker, have been asked on many an occasion as to whether or not I'm English though I must admit. I was brought up with very srtict, proper and correct English speech and manners, they tried they attitude also but hey!!! I'm too bloody stubborn for that sort of ****e! I used to think it pretty fab that the oldies taught me how to be "so correct" as I can mix with the best of 'em. I recently decided that as my worth is my own and not societys' I'll be blowed if I'll behave any way other than the way I see fit! I detest plasticity and pretensiousness and abhor snobbery! I too have been amongst the Royals, many many years ago and their behaviour is gross. It's amazing how many people still think that money and standing in society makes them so much better than those that they feel are beneath them. Makes me laugh nowdays! My maternal grandparents were English, my grandfather many times removed the ArchBishop of Canterbury in King Henry VIII time and my paternal grandparents were Irish, from a fairly poor backgound. My real paternal grandfather I have no real info on as no-one will talk about him. I knew my step grandad, he and my Nan were sheepstation owners. I feel a very strong connection to both origins, more so the Irish. I adore their music, love Guinness (milkshakes!), their accent is fab. and their countryside and lifestyle is something I'd love to experience.I also have an enormous liking for good Scottish Isle wiskey, single malt, neat of course(not sure where that came from!) I will get around to posting something under past lives as I've been digging around in mine for a little while and have some very strong "feelings" about some of it.
"There never was a time when you or I did not exist.
Nor will there be any future when we shall cease to be".
I found this in the cover of a cd I purchased today(which is pretty rare for me these days), the cd being "brainwashed" by George Harrison. There's a classic on denial on it, which I'll post.
Well, i reckon that ought do it again for a bit. By the way John if you're ever in Australia I'll invite ya' fa' a barby and chuck a cuppl'a chops on, or we could nick down the pie van and 'ave a dog's eye covered in dead 'orse and chuck back a tinny or three!
Enjoy, smile and be happy,
Felicity.
