League Film...
I can't get that link to work....
BUT... while searching for another one, I did find this: Ratings Thing, where, on the strength of 13,000(!) reviews, it has a 'B' rating on a scale of A-F. Which sort of flies in the face of its harsher critics, which is interesting/nice/ironic/amusing/excellent!

Re: info bout LXG dvd
well this is for people who may not be able to get the link to work, this is copied strait from the sight:
LXG DVD Due on 12/16
Two-disc set comes with a number of commentary tracks.
September 17, 2003 - Fox Home Entertainment will release The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on DVD on December 16, for a suggested price of $27.98, and if you purchase X2: X-Men United (ha, who isn't?), you will get a coupon for $3 off the LXG DVD.
Based on the popular comic book, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen stars Sean Connery as Allan Quartermain as the leader of a group of heroes in an alternative Victorian Era England. Quatermain leads a team with superpowers against a madman known a The Fantom.
His allies include Captain Nemo (Naseeruddin Shah), Dracula's Mina Harker (Peta Wilson), H.G. Wells' Invisible Man (Tony Curran), the vain and ageless Dorian Gray (Stuart Townsend), American Secret Service agent Tom Sawyer (Shane West) and the schizophrenic Dr. Jekyll (Jason Flemyng).
The two-disc set will come with Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS audio tracks, 2.35:1 widescreen or 1:33:1 foolscreen video in two different packages, commentaries with producer Trevor Albert, actors Jason Flemyng and Tony Curran, a commentary by the production designer, costume designer, make-up effects, visual effects and the miniatures creators, a making-of featurette, 12 deleted scenes, and more.

Re: info bout LXG dvd
Lead actor/ editor/ scene-stealer/ trouble-maker can't take the time to do commentary?
Deleted scenes will be nice -- but an alternate ending would be even nicer...

Re: info bout LXG dvd
i think an alternet ending will be on there as one of the deleated scenes,
and connery was going to do one... but then he had to do the voice directing and he messed it up

TWO Disc...?
Well... it's nice that there's commentary (even if I can never get the commentary OVER the acting, just instead..), but... Two discs..? And it's just commentary and a couple of extra scenes.. hm.
I suppose that's 'Normal', but.. compare with, say.. Monty Python and the Holy Grail..
Shame. But never mind.

Extra-polating...

They are watching us.. reading what we require and complain about and adding things to placate us?! Eeexcellent...
*Sir Sean Commentary
*Stephen Norringtom Commentary
*The spiel from the website on the DVD, rather than 'links'
*Out-takes
*Mini-Documentary where the Powers That Be explain the changes they made (maybe the reasoning will placate the fans..)
*A Music Video to Queen's Invisible Man.. or Ace of Base's Captain Nemo... The Spice Girls' The Lady is a Vamp or The Damned's Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde.
*Mockumentary cataloguing the friendly banter between SSC and SN..
*Alternate endings, including one where SSC is asked to join and doesn't. One where Tom Sawyer gets shot. One where Dorian's painting is stolen by a thief who cuts it out of the frame... one where the Fantom is revealed to be Kevin O'Neill. One where the Invisible Man forgets he's wearing his hat, and just stands there thinking he's invisible...
*Special Scenes done in LOEG (Lego), a la MPHG's Knights of the Round Table
Marvellous. Looking forward to it now, thanks!

Poor old Allan doesn't have a song...?

I still have hopes that they will eventually do a video where Nemo sings an all-new version, by the Asian Dub Foundation, of the Village People´s hit "In the navy"... And of course, in the background we´ll have Allan, Mina, Griffin and Jekyll/Hyde as the chorus doing some Bollywood-style dance...
