I still have hopes that they will eventually do a video where Nemo sings an all-new version, by the Asian Dub Foundation, of the Village People´s hit "In the navy"... And of course, in the background we´ll have Allan, Mina, Griffin and Jekyll/Hyde as the chorus doing some Bollywood-style dance... emoticon

...Tom Sawyer, Status Quo's In the Army Now.

and Dorian Queen's Who Wants to Live Forever

Marvellous. emoticon

Maybe also The Beatles' "the continuing story of Bungalow Bill" could fit. If I remember correctly it was a spoof on the Great White Hunter clichés

Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?
Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?

He went out tiger hunting with his elephant and gun
In case of accidents he always took his mom
He's the all American bullet-headed Saxon mother's son
All the children sing

Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?
Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?

Deep in the jungle where the mighty tiger lies
Bill and his elephants were taken by surprise
So Captain Marvel zapped in right between the eyes
All the children sing

Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?
Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?

The children asked him if to kill was not a sin
Not when he looked so fierce, his mummy butted in
If looks could kill it would have been us instead of him
All the children sing

Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?
Hey Bungalow Bill what did you kill Bungalow Bill?

Mother Superior, jump the gun

Without leaving the Egregious Liverpudlian Quartett, I’ve just thought that “Hapinness is a warm gun” might also be suited for Allan, the opium-sot... But, alas, not for “Film Allan”

LXG- the musical

I have a feeling they're more likely to use MTV generation songs; Beyonce for Mina, 50 cent for Allan 'full clip ' quatermain, Justin Timberlake for Tom, The Darkness for Dorian etcetera.

but my personal choice for Allan's theme?

"The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do what's right
As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti
I seek to cure what's deep inside , frightened of this thing that I've become"

- Toto, Rains in Africa

sheer poetry

Allan's Song

(How could I forget Vivian and Neil?! Grief...)

It has to be the theme of the White Hunters:

HUNTING TIGERS, OUT IN INDIAH by the Bonzo Dog (Doo Dah) Band.

Re: info bout LXG dvd

Just sitting at work listening to some choonz, when I start paying attention to the lyrics of Quarashi's 'Copycat';

"Mr. Jekyll or Hyde well I gotta decide which one.
I’ll get you screaming like a ***** in case you want some. I’m seconds behind, behind my own pair of mind
you see I gotta catch up if I wanna be found in me.
Holding my brain that looks like going insane
I feel like Dorian Grey and I’m out of the frame."

What a perfect verse!
