I am dismayed to hear that the UK version will have more extras. I picked up the US version last night. It is a little skimpy on extras, but I haven't listened to the commentaries yet.
Anyone else purchase this yet and what are your opinions?

Someone's said something about free comics... and I can find no information about it anywhere.

If those free comics were the second volume hardcover, I wouldn't mind nabbing the dvd (inspite of my opinions on the movie)

No such luck... it would appear that the 'free' comic was in fact scheduled to be a reprint of V1I1.. but the company/shop/people thought that the semi-nudity on the cover and "graphic" content (or whatever phrase) was uncalled for.
This despite the fact that the film has vampiric throat-ripping...

Not yet.. I've been tipped-off to peruse eBay for a while or so, and one'll turn up (allegedly) for a pound or so.. so I'm waiting patiently...

I assume that the extra extras on R2 are a sign that the tables are turning in our favour towards bonus material, region-wise that is. Still can't get a three disc edition of Brazil over here though  .
I still don't understand the two editions, I mean if you want a cheap ed and a special ed, why give the cheapo one any extras at all? Make it vanilla, and make it cheaper.
On that subject, are the extras on the basic ed the same ones found on the special?

I looked at Tower Records, but they didn't have any, so I assume it was only Circuit City doing it...?
