What will happen?
Just wondering, but what is going to happen to this section of the forum, once the movie starts dying out? You guys know, when the memories start fading away.
What next? Do we wait for the sequel?
Or do we try to discover brand new nuances in the flick?

Oh, it won't happen for a while. I mean, Brits such as my good self haven't even seen it yet.
Damn British cinema! Or, y'know, whoever it is that's actually to blame...

It will just sit here... or I'll eventually decide to delete it.

Well... there'll be a mini-resurgance when other places get the film, I imagine.. probably when #6 comes out, then some of us will potter around until V3..
It's nice to have somewhere to just.. lurk.

Re: What will happen?
I haven't visited the DC boards in quite a while, it's the colour purple you see, disturbs me.
I totally agree Ntnon, a good lurk every now and then does us all good I think.
Well there is the DVD release to consider, so I guess there is a little life left in this section. It all depends on whether or not Warner consider it a viable candidate for franchisedom.

They're calling the movie a flop now... why? It was the 19th movie of the summer, which isn't bad for a film that actually got very little publicity (especially compared to some real flops like Charlie's Angels) and was obviously, Sean Connery or not, not going to draw the same crowds as something like Terminator 3 that everyone has heard of. And it made something like $65 million total, I believe -- and has yet to be released in any major overseas markets. A flop? Riiiight... only by insane blockbuster standards. But if that's what they're calling it, sequel possibilities seem unlikely.
But this section will stay... at least for the time being.

Re: What will happen?
An interesting point about the overseas markets.Quite a few films which although making a respectable amount domestically in the US were written off, went on to do very well in the overseas markets and on video, dvd release. Then went on to gain a reprieve from the studios going on to gain a sequel franchise.
Terminator was a prime example of this.

(I know this is pie-in-the-sky, but.....)
Dare I even hope to think that, taking the Overseas sentiment to it's illogical conclusion, if it's a massive hit in England, then an English company will make the sequel?!?!
...I know, but it's worth a hope, isn't it..?!

Well, as long as you're hoping for the impossible -- why not go with an English-made *re-make* that sticks to the original material at least slightly...?

If you had been studying film making at Uni(maybe you are?),you could make the UK version yourself.
