Black Dossier: The Crazy Wide Forever
So have you all heard the news yet?
Alan Moore is actually an Elvis Impersonator
Oh, and the Black Dossier will include
Fanny Hill's Further Confessions
The Life of Orlando
An Alleged American League Featuring Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty
The Main Plot being the League's leftovers (presumably a disguised Mina and Allan) searching for "The Black Dossier" and within you have the actual black dossier which is basically a Sourcebook for all the leagues up to the second world war, including LHM, The german league etc.!!!

Re: Black Dossier: The Crazy Wide Forever
I was wondering if this board was going to be chatting about The Black Dossier.
It is currently set for release in Oct. 2007 according to Wildstorm.

Re: Black Dossier: The Crazy Wide Forever
OCt. 3rd last I've seen.
Also there's a link to the first page of Fearie's Fortunes Founded on Wikipedia.
I wanted to make some assumptions about the Century book due out in '08 as well as the Dossier. The Dossier is said to have some story from the 1890's according to one Moore interview I read. I wondered what in the world this could be, then I remembered a couple of things 1. Moriarty, we never actually see him die 2. Jean Robur and Luftkapitan Mors are corresponding about the Ship powered by light, Anyone want to presume along with me that Moriarty was picked up by Either Robur or Mors? I would anyway, also it could be that clash between "The Devil Doctor" and Moriarty that Alan said he couldn't fit into Vol.2.
About Century, I found it curious that A.J. Raffles, who I believe also died at Richenback (Sp?) falls, would have a Harley Quin type shadow covering his face, Harley Quin from Christie's novels. Who else had this shade over his face? the Pirate from the Pirate's conferance and the man at the black lagoon, I'm guessing it's some sort of portent, an omen of bad things to come, or mereley a reference to the Mysterious Mr.Quin.
Just something else I want to throw in: About 3 months ago I dreamed about there being these strange looking League books out on the comic racks, It wasn't a team book though it was somehow about Individual members, then recently I find out that in the Baker Interview Alan talks about doing Individual stories about Individual league characters, rather odd coincidence.

The Black Dossier
The Dossier is now out - in America only. Many Canadian comic shops have copies, and there are some UK shops who either have - or hope to have - copies too.
It's good. It's different. And the 3D glasses will ruin your eyes!
...although not as much as trying to read the 'beat' novel "The Crazy Wide Forever".
The promised songs are not included - but are hoped to be in the Absolute editon, tentatively out next year.

Re: The Black Dossier
I so want this book. I have a friend in the US who bought it for me. However, he's been busy with other things and so haven't had the chance to mail it until last Friday, so hopefully I get it sometime next week.

Re: The Black Dossier
So I did get the book last week and read through it. It was everything I hoped it to be. However, I did notice something odd. In the almanac section in vol.2, it mentioned Prof. George Challenger from the Lost World was an associate of the League, but he wasn't even mentioned in any of the documents. Does anyone have an idea why?
