Canadian Leagues

OK, we've seen Leagues composed of English and American characters, so I've decided to make a couple out of Canadian characters. I've put links to the sources they come from.

80's League

Grant "Doc" Roberts (Danger Bay) a marine veterinarian at the Vancouver Aquarium.

Louis Ciccone, (Seeing Things) a newspaper journalist who solves murders with the help of his ability to see postcognitive visions.

The Littlest Hobo (Littest Hobo) an owner-less German Shepard dog that possesses great intelligence.

Nick Adonidas (Beachcombers) a log salvager from Canada's west coast.

90's League

Jay Zieger (The Odyssey) a teenaged boy who claims to exist simultaneously in another world.

Steven Matrix (Matrix) a former hitman trying to redeem himself.

Benton Fraser (Due South a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who served as liaison to the Canadian consulate in Chicago.

Dr. Micheal Terry (Neon Rider a therapist who runs a ranch for troubled kids.

Laura Wingate (Beyond Reality a parapsychologist searching for her missing partner.

The group is sponsored by the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (Psi Factor)

Re: Canadian Leagues

The first time the League visited Canada was in the mid 1880's, when Gulliver's League ventured to Halifax to meet with a crippled man named Roger Stanley. Stanley had lost his legs as a privateer in the service of the crown aboard the sloop Antelope under the command of Elcid Barrett. With him, them journeyed to Upper Canada, where they encountered a Joseph Mufferaw, a frontiersman believe to originally hail from Brobdingnag. Together, they explored an underground land populated by troglodytes who only spoke the word "Og", and discover the tomb of a humanoid earth-pig that was believed to date back to the Estaricion era. This later discovery was located near what would later become the settlement of Berlin.

The 80's League was formed when a UFO was reported near Gibsons, British Columbia in December of 1985. CMIST (Canadian Ministry of Intrigue, Spying, and Tattling) was the organization assigned to investigate such occurrences in the years following the end of the Gilead years. They asked marine veterinarian Grant Roberts, who had done some investigations for them in the past, and reporter Louis Ciccone, who frequently used his visions to help law enforcement, to investigate for them. In Gibsons, they were meet by local resident Nick Adonidas, who allowed them to rent his boat to get to difficult to access areas. They were joined by a German Shepard dog that demonstrated an unusually high level of intelligence. Together, they investigated the sighting, and eventually determined that it posed no threat, unlike the "Visitors" in the U.S. The group then went there separate ways.

Nearly a year later, while investigating the disappearances of several young women, Ciccone had a vision that showed that they were being abducted to a "counter Earth" to serve as slaves. Ciccone report his discovery to CMIST, who had known about similar abductions that had occurred in the U.S., whose government ignored them. CMIST, on the other hand, wouldn't tolerate this, brought him back together with Roberts and Adonides to enact a rescue mission. Joining them were former fashion reporter Rennie Wilford, who was involved in the revolution on the Caribbean island of St. Antoine, and a young CMIST agent with the annoying habit of repeating himself. As the last moment before their launch, the German Shepard turned up and went with them. They were gone for about a month and returned with several of the women. However, no one wanted to talk about what happened there. From what was gathered by CMIST, it was quite bloody, as there many mentions of "Gore" by the members of the League.
