Alexander's Ragtime Band...
Me an' me bad ear...thanks for the note, now I can don my top hat and sing it properly
Your principal was... yes, a bit unusual (but still, I would have preferred Ragtime tunes to the compulsory church chants of my school )

Where's that one from? I always thought that the black bladed, soul eating ones were better.
The sword is referred to as the Mind Sword and is from the classic movie Hawk the slayer. The Elfin Mind Stone is usually held in the fist on the Swords pommel and allows the sword wielder to have mental control of the sword when it is not in their grasp.Though I would speculate that the Mind Stone would have other properties as well.

The black bladed one that eats souls and is weilded by power mad albinos still seems better.

out of the stomach, into show business!
quote: clara pandy wrote:

I believe it was also sung by a rather dapper young chestburster who danced down the bar top hat and cane in hand, in a space diner in Spaceballs.
'If you refuse me then you will lose, then you'll be all alone oh baby.....erm blah blah blah'

don't make me go back mumsey
Sing it at school eh?
That's just plain damn weird
Sorry I just had images of you singing it in assembly, instead of having a hymn book, you have a nice spangly Songs From The Shows sing-a-long volume. All the teachers address the school in the fashion of vaudeville acts, 'Mr Bertridge will now discuss the truancy record with the aid of his wippet Francey the Amazing' 'I say I say I say children what do you say when a stranger offers you hard core narcotics?' 'Where's me washboard eh? 'Av yer seen it eh? Av yer seen it? Where's me scraggins? How queer!'
Everyday must've been a carnival, you lucky lucky individual .

Re: don't make me go back mumsey
Yes, in assembly, no to the hymnbooks. We had an overhead projector. We also sang "Puttin' on the Ritz," "Yankee Doodle Dandy," "Put on a Happy Face," and "Swingin' on a Star." That one always frustrated the principal; I'm dating myself, but virtually everyone in my school watched (or had seen) the TV show Out of this World after school, which rewrote the lyrics to "Swingin' on a Star." He never could figure out why we all went "whoa whoa whoa," all at the same time without any rehearsal.
Regrettably, the rest of the teachers weren't as in to the song and dance act... they looked on Chorus afternoons as a) a colossal waste of time or b) an extended break for them.
Oddly enough, that's how the students looked at it, too...
