Oh, and BTW, the ENTIRE run of The Avengers is also out, isn't it?

I've seen boxed sets for the two "Cathy Gale" seasons, for EVERY Emma Peel season, and ALL the episodes of Tara King (though these ones are NOT boxed)

..OK. emoticon I just had a brief look, and found about 90 different 'sets', 1967 Part 3, Set 2, 1968: Emma Peel Era, Part 19, Set 6... and that sort of made my mind up for me: WAIT. emoticon

Again, this is Amazon. I haven't checked Amazon UK, but again, I'd be extremely surprised if they didn't have them over there as well.
(Why don't you get a multi-region player? )

Oh, it's purely fiscal, and chronal. And the computer would probably manage, if need be. emoticon

No, no, no. Forget about the individual sets or you'll never finish (and literally BLEED money to death). It's very simple: there's an "Emma Peel Megaset". This one has all the episodes from 1965 to 1967 (in set form these would be
Avengers '65 Set 1, Vols 1&2
Avengers '65 Set 2, Vols 3&4
Avengers '66 Set 1, Vols 1&2
Avengers '66 Set 2, Vols 3&4
Avengers '67 Set 1, Vols 1&2
Avengers '67 Set 2, Vols 3&4
Avengers '67 Set 3, Vols 5&6
Avengers '67 Set 4, Vols 7&8 )
You're right, so many sets just confuse and turn away the potential buyer (unless he's never actually seen the Avengers and he just wants to sample it) . Also, it's really expensive as each set is worth about 40 USD. In other words 320 bucks plus shipping and handling. The Emma Peel Megaset (which, again, includes ALL of the above) is worth 200 USD, or 179.10 if you use Amazon.
If you want to see what made the Avengers the Avengers you don't need to buy anything else, really. The Cathy Gale stories (um, all sets labeled '63 and '64) are actually more gritty and realistic (if you can believe the words Avengers and gritty in the same sentence) at least compared to what came afterwards. The Tara King stories (all sets labeled 68 ) though particular favorites of mine are just more of the same without Emma Peel.

That's... a lot more reasonable than the individual ones, but still... emoticon Thanks, it'll be on my 'Eventual' list for the moment, I reckon.
