Supernatural Crime Novels

Hello!
Not strictly on the topic of LOEG, but I am also interested in finding crime novels with a supernatural bent to them. As this group is very well-read, I am posing this question to you.
I am already aware of the books by John Connolly and the "Repairman Jack" series, but I am looking for others. Any thoughts?

Hey, Loui5, glad you could make it.
(Did you read my reply in the old boards?)

Thanks, Kobe!
I did read your post on the old boards. I have tried Tim Powers but he never caught fire with me.
With LOEG over until Volume 3, I am in dire need of new reading material, and I need some ideas.

Have you had a peruse of the vast list of Pseudo-Leaguish titles that are listed on the DCB..?

There's a lot of 'related', 'similar' are interesting reading matter there, for a start!

Can you put your finger on what it is that drew you to LoEG - I mean, is it only Supernatural Crime that you'd be interested in, or...?!

Re: Supernatural Crime Novels

Hello I'm back.I've been suffering computer problems for the past week and have been unable to get online until today.I've spent the best part of the day hunting down all my favorites and only just got them all logged back on.Although I have lost all my e-mails for the past week (they seem to have vanished without a trace before I got a chance to read them).Which was a pain as I had some passwords that have disappeared during the reformatting of my computer.Ah well emoticon .

Anyway back to the topic in question I've got a couple of names of authors that have written supernatural crime novels.I'll make a note of them for tomorrow when I've got a bit more time.As I've got a weeks worth of news to catch up on ,on various other sites.

Re: Supernatural Crime Novels

Here's a couple of authors who have written supernatural crime novels.or crime novels that feature supernatural elements.First off David Bowker with

           The Death Prayer and
           The Butcher of Glastonbury.

And Will Kingdom with Mean Spirit and
           The Cold Calling.

Both are (depending on where you hail from) British authors but their books should be available through Amazon.UK.

Thanks for the feedback! I have never heard of these UK authors, but will check them out.
To answer ntnon's question, LOEG inspires me for very different reasons, but I love it in the same way as supernatural crime stories. In the vast wasteland of cookie-cutter books, they both represent something very different from the norm.
I would welcome other thoughts out there, as well.

Well.. hopefully you'll get things back to some form of 'normal' soon... emoticon

Well... Donald Thomas has done some interesting things - Sherlock continuations/crossovers; a reinterpreted Jekyll & Hyde, etc.
Simon Hawke's Time Wars Dodecatet are still among my favourites - literary (and historic) amalgamations with a Time Travel Twist..

..but I don't go for Supernatural Crime things overmuch, so.. sorry!
