The Necronauts
Hello!
I just found out about the Necronauts off of the other LOEG board, and it sounds very interesting. Houdini, Charles Fort, Conan Doyle, and HP Lovecraft team up to fight Chthulu!
I have ordered a copy but wondered if anyone has read this and if they had any opinions.
Also, I just finished Alan Moore's The Courtyard and felt let down. The first issue seemed to be building to something very cool, which did not materialize in the second.
Thoughts?

Re: The Necronauts
I just got my copy of the Necronauts in the mail and enjoyed it quite a bit! It has the same Victorian feel to it and some great black and white artwork. This could have made for a good series, but the ending didn't allow for it.

I Fort I Saw...
There's (also) a book from Dark Horse called 'Fort: Prophet of the Unexplained' that pits Charles Fort against a Lovecraftian thingummy... but I've never seen Necronauts.
Is a comic/graphic novel/ongoing series...?

Re: The Necronauts
I did read the 4-issue Fort series from Dark Horse. Same artist as the Necronauts, but did not like the story as well.
Enjoyed the byplay between the main characters of the Necronauts much more.

Re: The Necronauts
Great catch! It certainly could be Lindbergh, as Houdini does indicate that he has seen the "Aviator of the Unknown" on posters, so he must be someone famous.
