CBA #25
Well, it's here at last. Ninety-plus pages of Moore goodies (I guess to be a Moore fan these days means to be a POOR, bankrupt person, what with all the other goodies coming out right now).
Um, I have no idea if you all have this item already (it was advertised quite a while ago), but it only just arrived to my store today so I'm mentioning it now. I haven't seen much discussion about it here or in any of the other Moore message boards, so I'm taking a wild guess that not many have bought it yet.
I'm still just reading the first, MASSIVE interview, but so far so great.

Quite..
I think I know what you're referring to... but.... just un-abbreviate it for everyone else..
This is the one I've just asked my local shoppe to backget for me.. and orders were meant to be in in October.
By the by.. what else is there coming..?
I read a bit on the Promethea Boards from Mr JHW3 about things he was contributing, but no real hint of what the thing was to be called, or when out.. or.....

Re: CBA #25
I'm talking about the Comic Book Artist magazine #25 (yes, it was delayed by several months).
That, plus the Jess Nevins book, the "Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentleman" tribute book (which, personally, I found a bit disappointing, but obviously I'm in the minority), plus the "Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore" book (which, being more of an AUTObiography sounds more exciting to me) coming out soon, PLUS the NEW Hardcover version of Moore's only prose novel "Voice of the Fire" with illustrations by Villarubia, (I have the original edition WITHOUT the illos) the blows to my economy keep on coming. (Did I mention I actually spend MORE on DVDs than on comics these days? At this rate I WILL go bankrupt by year's end).

You're not the only one, although on the D.V.D front I think I've got 2 or 3 weeks were there's nothing coming out.And I really should cut back on the book spending as I probably got a couple of years backlog to read. But when it's a addiction you just cannot help your self.

just say no kids
Sometimes I wish they had never invented the DVD. I keep telling myself 'this is the last one sunny jim' and then some bugger puts out a three for 20 deal, and I crawl up to my wife with a bag in my hand and a guilty look on my face.
Still women have their shoes.....

Re: CBA #25
Then there's always that D.V.D release of a movie that you have been after for absolutely years for.Still there is that scant consolation that most of the older film releases are a bit cheaper as they don't have as many extras on.

Re: CBA #25
What have you bought lately, SP?
I just got Throne of Blood (I know, not the best Kurosawa film out there, but it was the first Kurosawa film I ever saw so I still like it), Sunset Boulevard and Metropolis (the Restored Authorized Version). If you've only seen Metropolis in the previous VHS or even DVD "restored" versions, you're in for a treat as a BUNCH of lost scenes have finally been restored.
Having said that, I'm in the middle of one of my periodic bouts of Anime, so most of my spending budget (at least for now) goes in that direction.
