Who here has read Moore's 1963?
Is it any good? Should I track down individual issues of it?

Well I enjoyed them, they are basically a homage to the early Lee/Kirby marvels.

They're really good, but I've found out most people miss the joke.
They don't even understand why all the copies have yellowing paper.

I thought the adverts on the back were genuine - from a distance. Genius.
..I saw them cheaply the other day, too...

Actually, on pretty much EVERY online site or comic store I've seen them, they're invariably very cheap (like I said, most people miss the joke), so go ahead and buy them even if you're not sure about liking them.

I probably will like them, seeing as I have a secret passion for early 60's Marvel.

I hate to double post, but...
...I've located issues 1, 2, 4, and 6. Now all I need are 3 and 5. Any idea where I might find them? (I've tried Ebay.)

Re: Who here has read Moore's 1963?
My Comic Shop has both of them. Number 3 is 1.60, number 5 is 2.40
Mile High has issue 3 (at a whopping three bucks!) and don't have issue five.
As a rule of thumb My Comic Shop is ALWAYS cheaper (though if you collect comics from the 70s and the 60s, Mile High has a better inventory).

This is the first time I've ever heard of this comic. I must kill the owner of my local comic shop.
