Re: Supreme Power

The series was reprinted in its entirety in five issues (40 pages each) by Fleetway a decade ago. I'm also AWARE of the existence of a single, massive TPB collecting everything called The Complete New Statesmen (it has a shot of the US flag on the cover), but I've never actually seen it, except for online stores.
Indeed, it is very much a product of its time (but just in the same way that Watchmen could be accused of being dated)
The possibilities of this material being reprinted might not be that good. If you google or yahoo it, it will invariably show up under the 2000 AD banner, but in fact this showed up originally in a magazine called Crisis (our fellow posters across the pond might remember it).
It WAS a sister publication of 2000 AD, but geared at a "more mature audience" (not that 2000 AD has EVER been shy about showing what American mainstream readers might consider somewhat excessive images of violence and sex) .
These days Titan seems to be reprinting everything 2000 AD ever did, while the Crisis material continues to gather dust.
Other WONDERFUL stories from Crisis were "The New Adventures of Hitler" by Grant Morrison, "Troubled Souls" (the very first story Garth Ennis ever published, dealing with the Troubles in Northern Ireland) and its semi-sequel "For a Few Troubles More", "True Faith" by Ennis again (recently reprinted by Vertigo), "Trip to Tulum" by Milo Manara and Federico Fellini (!) and "Bible John" by Morrison again.
(Also, I believe, Crisis published the last chapters of the controversial Dan Dare story Morrison and Rian Hughes did after Revolver folded).

Kobe, you are a font of comics information. My hat is off to you!
I will begin my search this week for the compendium.
Cheers!
