A (not so) new discovery!
Ladies and gentlemen, I think I may be saying something blasphemous, but I've just discovered a writer who may be comparable to Allan Moore (pardon me, but this is something I have to get off my chest). His name is Lee Falk.
As a promotional stunt, there's a newspaper here in Portugal that's including comic book reprints with their sunday editions. A couple of weeks ago, the reprints were of Mandrake and the Phantom.
God! The stories were great! Newspaper adventure strips have a certain quality that eludes comic book stuff. Why can't they make stuff like this anymore?
And to think, I never thought Mandrake and the Phantom to be so good...
