Calling the shadow

This is one of the extracts from a book i am writing entitled "Journey of a thousand heros". This extract focuses on the Demon Andrell being order to summon the Hashish, an ancient Demon race that can find any prey and kill it:
--------------------------------------------------------------

"Andrell, please if you wouldn't mind."

Andrell walked up to the shivering monk, lowering his hood she gazed upon his fearful face which glistened with sweat. From his eyes Andrell knew that the monk was afraid, who wouldn’t be afraid of death? Grabbing his head, she kissed him, roughly and barbarically, biting his lip and letting the blood spill into her own mouth, enjoying the salt ridden mortality that hid itself inside the human.

Deep from within the echoing halls came a slow drum beat which added more fuel to the monks fear. If she couldn’t calm him down his flesh would become hard and "they" might not accept him. Andrell thought for a moment then dismissed the two figures holding the monk. resting her hand on his chest Andrell walked around the monk, she fed on the fear, using it to strengthen her, it was a dim wine, bitter but pleasing none the less. Stopping in front of the monk she took his hands and rubbed them across her body in an effort to relax the Monk, enjoying the sexual friction Andrell moved back from the monk and started a ritual dance to the drum beat. All the while she remained focused and chanted the sacred words of the ritual. The drum beat picked up! Becoming faster and louder! Andrell was before the monk, whose pulse raced with the erotic beat, his eyes watching her every move and he knew that from the day he was born to this moment now was what he had prepared for. He was trained for this, he should not fear it! And yet he did. He mind focused back to the dancing Devil the drums moved his pulse, the rhythm of his breathing, the fear that he held and the excitement that he was fulfilling what he had waited all his life for. Then silence! Andrell stopped in mid dance as the beat ceased. Walking back to the monk she looked to her lord who uttered on word. An altar appeared behind the monk. A single red cloth lay across it. There were no markings or ritual design upon it; it was just another black marble altar, the red cloth being the only adornment. Reaching out a hand Andrell pushed the monk onto the altar summoned by Lucifer, the monk, in a eerie trance, almost hypnotic, laid still on the cold black marble surface. Andrell climbed on top of him and wrapped her thighs around his waist. Taking hold of his shirt she ripped it from his body and started to rub her hands across his smooth skin, massaging the flesh. The beat started up again and she removed his lower garments, feeling his body pulse and swell she moved in time with the beat. At the height of the ecstasy and holding her arms high in the air Andrell called out:

"Hashish, hear our cry,

I call you to aid our lord.

Take this soul born to die,<BR>

And send your bloodlust hoard!"<BR>

With the last word she lowered her head and a dagger, etched with runes, appeared in her raised hands which she brought down upon the monks chest. Unknown to the monk Andrell kissed him again then leaped from the altar, the monk's last breath wasthat of death, and with it came the ceaseing of the drums.

Above the Altar a dark mist appeared, a gushing wind rose up and the sound of daggers on stone screeched through the dark hall. Eight figures surrounded the Altar. The Hashish had arrived.
