The Lessions Learnt

Once there was a man who lived in a hut, just atop a hill outside of Balmora. In his hut he would sit all day, sitting with his sleek silver flask in his hand, looking out the window. He never said much, but it was obvious he wasn't in horrible health, not even fractured health.

He would go, once a week, down the hill and into town where he would school the Guild of Fighters in the sparring room, whimsically twirling the wooden staves and elm bos around, swiftly knocking any of the over-ambigous young fighters to their knees, even to the temple for emergency healing.

He was respected, with certain boundaries. as no one would ever help him back up that hill. But that was the way he liked it, untouchable, even in his old age. No one would ever offer to carry his supplies back to his hut for him. But that was the way he liked it, unfeeble, even in his old age. No one would offer him a few septims, just to help him get by. But that was the way he liked it, unpittied, even in his old age.

Why he looked out his window, it was never thought of, for he knew, he knew that few knew he had a window, had a hut, had a sleek silver flask. But that was the way he liked it, so impressive, he was overlooked, even in his old age.

He died in the month of Last Seed, the air frill and icy. He was burried not by the hands of men, but by the sheer intoxication of the self-centeredness of man. He still sits, his sleek silver flask in his hand, his head still peering out of the window, his hut still standing, atop of the hill, where it willl eventually be all but remembered. But that was the way he would have liked it, so shrouded by wisdome that no one would notice him not comming into the Guild of Fighters every week, knocking all of the warriors down to the ground, no one would question why he wasn't at the shops, lurking around, buying some bread and then headed back up to his hut for another week, even after his demise.
