Rod Stewart?

I'm worried, I'm a 24 year old heterosexual side show freak. Does it make me even stranger then most that I'm listening to Rod Stewart and Elton John today?

I'd start worrying Scott!

Actually, being Scottish I'm supposed to affectionately treasure Rod Stewart. Not that he is really Scottish (I'm sure he's from outskirts of London), but his father was Scottish and Rod has adopted Scotland as his "spiritual" home. And he supports Glasgow Celtic too, so that is something in his favour.

But Scott, please don't tell us that you also listen to Neil Diamond or Kenny G. Please! emoticon

NO NO NO, not that far gone. But how about George Clinton followed by the Insane Clown Posse.

Well, it's an eclectic mix.

To be honest, I've got a pretty diverse taste in music - I think there are great tunes and bands/ composers in most genres.

I have a CD player in my office at work and my current play list includes:

Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue/ Piano Concerto in F
Metallica - St Anger
Proclaimers - Greatest Hits (my favourite!!)
Ministry - Psalm 69
Coldplay - Parachutes
Cradle of Filth - Damnation and a Day
Jellyfish - Bellybutton
Alice In Chains - Dirt
Steve Earle - Transcendental Blues

make of that what you will emoticon

Well, I've seen Rod Stewart and Elton John impersonaters in a Vegas show...So...as long as you promise not to start wearing your hair like Rod, I'd say you're okay...

Currently in my car :

Counting Crows - Hard Candy & August and Everything After
The Dark Crystal Soundtrack
Loreena McKennitt - Book of Dreams
Dean Martins Greatest Hits
The Soundtrack to 'Bat Boy the Musical'
The Mystery Science Theater 3000 songs cd
Avril Lavigne (shut up, I like her voice!)
Bad Religion - All Ages
Rush - Hemispheres
Weird Al - Poodlehat
Lavay Smith - Everybodys Talkin' About Miss Thing
Lucky Boys Confusion - Throwing the Game
and numerous mix cds of equal eclectica

So I'd say my musical tastes are pretty normal...right?

"Hold me closer tiny dancer"

sounds soooo much like

"Hold me closer Tony Danza...drive your taxi down the highway...I can't think of the next stanza...."

and so on...

just an observation...

aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhh!

funny story about her actually - she played at the Barrowlands in Glasgow earlier this year and, when she came on stage, reportedly said "hello England" at which she was booed and spat on emoticon The words "poetic" and "justice" spring to mind.
